Ness - A Personal Voyage ( Evigt Mörker Remix)

Some people are just not destined to have enough sleep. When you don’t sleep enough the world appears to be a different place, compared to the way it is when the mind is fully rested. In such cases very different scenarios may occur.

Starting with a dreamy melody of Roma Zuckerman’s “Sleep not found”, which inspired the entire Трип 008 album, and ending with a thirteen minute live recording by a_000, the side project of Alex Backdrop, the entire record has a dreamy and tripped out flow.

трип 008 continues the tradition of gatefold double EPs as conceptual album.All tracks are selected around a particular story, a trip, and presented as a continuous sonic landscape.All tracks are structured in a way that they can be mixed one with another an endless amount of times making a continuous loop, a trip, that needs only end when the party stops. Kraviz works without release dates or deadlines, enabling her to achieve a certain sound bank to shape the story, unmasking the thoughts and unravelling like a dream.

Branko, a newcomer from Norrköping on the east coast of Sweden, presents „Kao Staklo“. Having previously featured tracks on the critically acclaimed „A beginners guide to Norrköping Techno“ , a release curated by his fellow countryman Nihad Tule and Inter Gritty aka NTTA11; the young Swede takes center stage with his UИCAGΞ debut.

Top and tailing the EP with his two originals Branko opens with „Oprosti“. A melodic number featuring a floating chord over a sharp beat. This is followed by the first of two remixes of „Kao Staklo“. Darren Roberts aka Deepbass rolls out one of his trademark reworks with a deep and trippy seven-minute opus.

The B side opens with Swedish mastermind Skudge who delivered a groovy and psychedelic minimal remix of „Kao Staklo“, before we´re finally introduced to the original title track with its misty atmospheres and melancholic grooves. A rock solid first release.

Already the fifth disc on the new ÆX imprint. A sub label from Amsterdam based label Indigo aera. It is the next chapter in a hand stamped various artist EP series. Formed by a mixture of befriended artists who are considered all inner family members of the label. On the a-side Rotterdams Ben Buitendijk makes his first appearance on the label. Known for running his own Oblique label he here delivers a fast moving rough techno jam. More familiar faces in the form of Kaap, 543FF and Mistress producer Daniel Jacques will continue to bring their output to the young label with their vision on warm Detroit-esque dub techno.

After a lifetime of loving, making and releasing music, a new persona was developed and named Algorythm. With this project, the artist wanted to dive deeper inside himself and explore some noisier and darker sides of his musical spectrum. Simply put; to let his inner algorithm run free. With Algorythm he wants to put the focus on the music and not on the person behind it, therefore he decided to keep his identity a secret. This debut for Curle Recordings follows releases for NeedWant and Neptune Records.
'Creature' is some badass rhythm exploration through an old echo box. Dark stuff!

"Ben Buitendijk returns to his Rotterdam based label, Oblique Music with three stirring techno cuts entitled 'Alternative Hypothesis'.

After Buitendijk's quintessential 2013 'Promised land' track on Mosaic, his sound's transition into tougher territories, prevalent in his series of releases via Oblique that demonstrate a palette of space-induced modulations. The label continues to create
emotionally driven techno of a deeply layered nature, having also released music by Deniro, Koen Hoets, Emmanuel Top, Refracted, and more.

Kicking off with a journey enveloping 9-minute track, 'Contamination Zone' is delicately filled with synthetic ambience and undulating minimalism. The track's energy gently grows throughout as the bleeped synth line and looping percussion patiently rises in intensity. 'Stardust' follows, continuing to transcend visionary type melodies in symmetry with acutely composed drums.

'Alternative Hypothesis' adopts a left-of-centre drum groove, harmonising authentically with the uplifting, otherworldly swells constant throughout, keeping the force of the track totally balanced."
