Luca Lozano, owner of Klasse Recordings presents this majestic 4 track EP on Optimo Trax. Inspired by the past but sounding the antithesis of retro. In his own words....

"The Optimo Trax EP was born out of a time when I was listening to a lot of old Bleep House and Rave, early 90s UK stuff. Growing up in Sheffield I was lucky enough to spend some time in Warp Records when it was still a record store and being around this music and the people that made it must have somehow embedded itself into my psyche. Listening to pirate radio stations like Fantasy FM as a teenager helped shape my musical interests as they are today and I guess this EP is somehow a reflection of that education, I wanted to make a collection of music that sounded like it was related to a certain place and time and in effect confirm my own identity within its context."

Optimo Trax OT 006 is released on 12" and digital March 2014. Distribution by Kompakt and Rub A Dub.

Boaksi’s first EP “Under the Pavilion” builds upon the productions of his debut album by featuring a combination of more club oriented elements together, often characterised by layered synth patterns, breaks and textured percussion. As the second release on Small Steps, Boaksi looks to create an ethereal and refined sound to follow the labels dreamy ambience. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes upbeat. The EP reminds us with its mellow vocals of warm bright summer days.

San Francisco-based producer @federsen inaugurates his @altdub imprint with an exquisite EP consisting of four deep and hazy dub techno tracks from himself and Cologne-based production duo Hidden Sequence.

Pressed on heavyweight blue marble vinyl, listeners can rest assured that the quality of wax is on par with the music. Our pick from the release is Federsen's solo track 'Polarity', which could easily sit alongside the likes of Basic Channel, Maurizio or even Deepchord. Almost two years ago we reissued DJ Boom ‘Kinda Kickin’ with an extra Efdemin remix on CURLE-P06D. Because y’all loved it so much, we decided to reissue some more Matthew Herbert deep house goodies. First up is ‘See You On Monday’ from the iconic “Part One” EP – 20 years old but still timeless, and now available digitally for the first time! On remix duties is Linkwood, who released his brilliant “Expressions” album on Firecracker last year. He for one knows how to keep the groove whilst diving deep. The 12" includes limited silk screen artwork - first 300 on transparent vinyl.
