In addition to the "Best Of Ambient" compilation from John Beltran, two remixes are made to honour one of our favourite electronic music producers of all time. The a-side gives us a reinterpretation of "Brilliant Flood" from rising star Kassem Mosse together with his studiomate Mix Mup. This remix smoothly pimps up the track whilst leaving the atmosphere of the original intact. On the b-side, Sven Weisemann made a composition as a tribute to John Beltran, which contains elements of different original cuts. The result is Sven's Glorify Tribute Mix, a dreamy epic adventurous nine-minute masterpiece in three parts.

We first noticed Pablo Mateo on the Muting The Noise store. They distributed LackRec., the label he co-founded about a year ago. Before we got the chance to check out the 12” we bought, he sent us some demo’s. So either that’s some serious data mining or a fantastic coincidence ;-) Among the ton of demo’s there was lots of different stuff, and that’s why the EP tracklist turned out pretty diverse too. From techno to house and back, or “Berlin House” as Pablo likes to call it himself. Furthermore, Pablo’s also involved in Liit and the first two EP’s on 777 Recordings. Expect to hear lots more from this super talented producer.

Some people are just not destined to have enough sleep. When you don’t sleep enough the world appears to be a different place, compared to the way it is when the mind is fully rested. In such cases very different scenarios may occur.

Starting with a dreamy melody of Roma Zuckerman’s “Sleep not found”, which inspired the entire Трип 008 album, and ending with a thirteen minute live recording by a_000, the side project of Alex Backdrop, the entire record has a dreamy and tripped out flow.

трип 008 continues the tradition of gatefold double EPs as conceptual album.All tracks are selected around a particular story, a trip, and presented as a continuous sonic landscape.All tracks are structured in a way that they can be mixed one with another an endless amount of times making a continuous loop, a trip, that needs only end when the party stops. Kraviz works without release dates or deadlines, enabling her to achieve a certain sound bank to shape the story, unmasking the thoughts and unravelling like a dream.

Aos’ boundless love for music is apparent in everything she does. As a producer, a DJ, and an event organizer with Seattle’s secondnature and TUF collectives, Kayla Waldorf’s vision eschews traditional categories and genre boxes in favor of an ecstatic spontaneity. Her DJ sets are well known for their playful energy and narrative threading between many different styles. Violent Light is Aos’ first offering on secondnature’s own label, and it captures this playful essence.

The title track’s stomping groove (complete with rave whistle) sets the tone, while Lullaby and What/Why move into headier territory composed of dusty synths stabs and clouds of vocal effects. Finally, secondnature’s own Fugal delivers a remix that flips What/Why into a rolling depth charge.

Violent Light will be available in stores in October 8, 2018 via ReadyMade Distribution, and on secondnature’s Bandcamp

Nostalgia is a nod to the older days. Subtle blend of hypnotic mysticism and Detroit-style techno – a instant afterhours anthem! Rydgad is a handy tool for the DJs who love to throw a little swag to their crowd. Its minimal, but still offers a lot of little tricks to make the room work. Morph gets dark and twisted - with Oculus‘s hypnotic voice reassuring the listener in his native tongue that the he is the all-seeing eye of the Icelandic techno scene. The EP ends with the minimalistic mind-twister of „Flod“ – completing the first odyssey of Æ Recordings LTD.

Teased over two years ago in Palinoia owner Eric Cloutier's XLR8R podcast, Gabriella's hotly anticipated and incredibly good "I Can't Stop" finally has an EP, housed with three other fantastic cuts from the Bulgarian producer. She's complimented the title track with another quirky, funky house jam, "Everybody Loves Bobo," and also made two full on techno bangers with "The Perfect Lover" and "Oblique Strategies." An absolute beast of an EP that I'm glad is finally getting its day in the sun...and the clubs.
