Translation Recordings returns to vinyl with a pair remixes from two scene veterans, selected to provide a fresh perspective on the digital catalogue.  Up first, Seba applies his signature style to Furi Anga's 'When Our World Jaded,' where twinkling hi-hats and dreamy pads drift into meticulously chopped breaks, spliced drum edits, and warm bass tones with enough low-end to rattle your chest.  As the track progresses, a filtered reese surges in and out of the arrangement for added bite.  On the flip, Survival revisits Slider &amp; Expose's jazzy 'Hooked' and rolls out a soulful remix with heavy, shuffling drums, deep sub treatment, and a techno midrange that complements the track's more subtle melodic elements to deliver a refreshing and energetic tune for the summer.

If you ask 22 year-old Joey Butler, aka Kid Smpl, what to call his music, don’t expect a straight answer. “Super introspective, isolated and wondering, but there are a lot of other people that could probably explain it better than I could”, he says. Like many other producers in the post-Burial soundscape, Kid Smpl’s unique blend of ethereal beats, hushed vocals and slowed tempo has been lumped in with the night bus sound. But what separates Kid Smpl from the others is the craft and subtlety he places into his compositions. The Seattle native was accepted into Red Bull Music Academy’s 2013 class in July and released his debut album, "Skylight", on Hush Hush Records after that in November. For our 61st Truancy Volume, we’ve got Kid Smpl on the buttons. In order to get a better picture of the man behind the mix, we hopped on the night bus home with Kid Smpl to glide through the streets of Seattle.

The first part of the beat is produced by Sango, it's off his tape "sounds of chimera". The second beat is produced by Atu, The song is named after A track off of M83's self tilted album. The reason for that is because I orginally had thier song "Where the boats go" in the place of Sango's instrumental. But i had to change that due to copyright laws. But, im A fan. So i guess i'll keep it as is.
