In the history of music, the drumset initially functioned in the background of the band setting as a framing and space-creating rhythm instrument. In the 50s and 60s, drummers liberated their playing and developed their own interpretations with which they created individual moments of tension and thus allowed the drums to come to the fore as a melody instrument. This development reached its peak in the late 60s, when many progressive and psychedelic rock bands integrated sprawling drum solos into their songs. We introduce you to pioneering drummers such as Max Roach, Art Blakey, Billy Cobham, Ginger Baker and Mike Clark.

This version is without the spoken parts, just the music.

About the album:

"Lost and Found" is a moving and finely detailed album by PNFA, the musical project of German artist Wolfram Gruss. Known for his reflective and atmospheric style, Gruss delivers a collection that blends downtempo, chillout, and trip hop with cinematic and electro-acoustic elements, resulting in a rich, immersive sound.

Most of the tracks are instrumental, unfolding slowly through layered textures, ambient tones, and subtle rhythmic patterns. 2019年にANADOLはドイツのハンブルグを拠点とするPingipungレーベルからテープ音源のアルバムUzun Havalar (2019)をはじめさまざまな作品をリリース。サイケデリックでシンセフォークなサウンドは新しいコレクションに相応しい内容になっています。

このイースタン風のwarm & groovyなセットは2人が最近追求し始めたもので、見逃すことのできないクラシックなものばかり。

We celebrate the tenth VDS mix!!! Let this sweet music be your guide into the less hot more smooth period of summer and first breeze of autumn.
This contribution is a back to back of Berlin-based composer and DJ @altinkasetcilik Gözen Atila aka ANADOL and DJ Tayfun Aras @tayfundeform , who is also the owner of Istanbul based vinyl shop "Deform Müzik".


2019 ANADOL became part of Hamburg-based Pingipung-label family and after a prior tape-release released her album Uzun Havalar (2019) as a vinyl. It is a psychedelic synth folk pearl that you should have already in your collection.

This warm and groovy eastern flavored set is a compilation of what both artists hear and research recently, with a few classics they wouldn’t want to miss. 

ANADOL: „All i can say is I am into more progressive stuff these days and Tayfun is more interested in new wave and eastern european music.“
