This was one of the funnest sessions that we've had in the past months. Joe Kay started off with some nice deep/melodic tracks from Mr. Carmack, Christoph El Truento, Dirg Gerner, Iamnobodi, Sango, Last Night In Paris, Geode and many more! Joe took it back to the essence with Ginuwine/Timbaland/Dilla classics! DJ Harrison on the other hand who reminds us of Madlib (no really he does)all the way from Virginia threw down a crazy live session with the SP-404 & MPC 1000. Lots of soulful chops and intricate drum patterns! This is another amazing session from start to finish! Spread this if you feel it.

Life + Times has partnered up with BBC Radio 1 DJ and music connoisseur Annie Mac.  Every month Annie will work her magic on an exclusive mix for Life + Times that will feature a selection of her favorite new tracks.

In October, Annie released her Annie Mac Presents 2013 for the first time to the US. Since 2009, the AMP (Annie Mac Presents) imprint has introduced the world to fresh music from a variety of both established and budding artists. In support of the latest compilation, Annie is currently mid-way through a European tour with Duke Dumont, MNEK, Cyril Hahn and Lulu James. I've been wanting to re-release this for a long time… 

This was a mixtape I recorded in one take on four CDJs back in 1999, summarizing my love for thick, heavy, hypnotic downtempo music: ethereal melodies, weird loops, funky acid jazz, trip-hop, and everything left field of center. 

Musically, it's a collection of songs which are very special to me. Many of them were once rare treasure on white-label vinyl, or scavenged during endless hours of crate-digging, or given to me by friends, or something I had heard another DJ drop during some awesome sunrise set, out in a forest in one of our many free outdoor parties.
