Sharouh - La Naufragatrice

Sharouh is a French Dj/Producer with sephardic roots whose hybrid sets and productions invite electronic music to mix with oriental tunes, from Maghreb to the Middle East, via Greece and Turkey. In a process of cultural empowerment and rewriting, she works on the different forms of musical syncretism (Arabic, Judeo-Arabic, Berber, Mizrahi etc.) as well as the role of women in this heritage. She is the author of several remixes of Jewish Tunisian singers such as Raoul Journo or Habiba Msika, icon of the North-African girl power.

Sharouh è una Dj/Producer Francese di origini sefardite i cui set ibridi e produzioni mescolano la musica elettronica a note orientali, dal Maghreb al Medio Oriente, passando da Grecia e Turchia. In un processo di valorizzazione e riscrittura culturale lei lavora sulle differenti forme di sincretismo musicale (Arabo, Giudeo-Arabo, Berbero, Mizrahi ecc.) e anche al ruolo delle donne all’interno di tali tradizioni culturali. È autrice di svariati remix di cantanti Giudeo/Tunisini come Raoul Journo o Habiba Msika, quest’ultima icona del potere femminile Nordafricano.
