Kenyan Son Kizito is a Realicist, Actor and Writer with a diverse background hence his versatility in music, film/TV.
His first full-length feature film as an actor was the Kenyan blockbuster VEVE (2014) produced by the award-winning producer of films such as Nairobi-Half Life, Cloud Atlas, The International and many more…) Tom Tykwer. The film premieres worldwide this year but has already been screened to great reception all across Germany, at the 2014 Durban Film Festival in South Africa and at the Africa Eye Film Festival in Bristol - United Kingdom.
Film dubbing surprisingly provided him the opportunity to his first international voice job. He was a voice-actor on a Korean TV series,‘Iris’ playing the gang’s I.T guy (Hyun Seok). This made him even more aware of his vocal technique and dialogue delivery at the word level as a screen actor.
On a pan-African platform, he has appeared on a couple of Mnet’s short films including; ‘Crazies’ (Taxi Driver), and ‘Love's Ransom’ (Security Guard).
On Kenyan TV, he has graced Citizen TV’s ‘Inspekta Mwala’. and has been a regular cast member on QTV’s crime thriller ‘Jambaz’ based on the African allegory of Robin hood where he played his first villain role, ‘Coporal Morris’.The former script apprentice at K24 TV’s sitcom ‘Ngumbaru School’ (the Kenyan version of ‘Mind Your Language’ (British comedy aired in the 70s and on KBC in the 90s) has been writing his own screen and stage plays which he hopefully plans to release, broadcast and stage soon. His movement Wazito (Word Action Zote In True Order) style of writing (Realicism) his Charity organisation KSDF (Kenyan Sons & Daughters Foundation) and campaign slogan 'TuFaeFriend TuFaeFoe' are all inspired by the rich cultures he has picked up all along while travelling and living allover Kenya and beyond.
This revolutionary and visionary young man’s music is an expression of his observations, opinions and experiences told through him and his alter ego kenyan son.
He is currently on tour performing a series of concerts and attending screenings to promote #veve_movie and his debut mixtape #UkenyaItaniua’.
