Fata Morgana

A recent graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy 2016 in Montréal, French producer Malibu has carved out her very own lane in the field of ambient experimentalism. Her emotive, vocal-led soundscapes evoke the aura of ephemera, eroding forms into fluid shapes. On “Being There” Malibu’s processed voice runs like water over subtle, sustained drones and minimalist melodies, blurring the very contours of time itself.

Malibu also passed on this epigraph to go along with the track:

and that isn’t flying a thousand miles an hour

or flying at the speed of light.

This set is a post recording from the songs I played on Thursday evening at the wonderful Underpants Hotel , where I resided at together with my amazing team, Orient Art. Thank you to all these beautiful people with cool underpants who danced with me:)
