as you all may or may not know that "sun (1.0)" i would call it is off of my "infamous" SQUID release.

there's a story behind this song and I want everyone to know as much as possible.

so i was given the opportunity for a birthday bash audition to open it up and I wanted to perform a brand new song but i never could catch the wave. so i was left to decide between "black coffee" (album 0) and "sun." (squid.)

my pops asked me this past Mother's Day on the road somewhere in athens, ga coming home from my grandmother's:

"if you had to pick between buying a sandwich and buying this song which would you buy?"

now he asked me comparing both songs and I said i'd buy the sandwich after "black coffee"... but when it came to "sun" it just felt right to say "sun"... and i stuck with that. but i went home in hopes of creating new. i couldn't. so over the next few days when i talked to my manager Sama and my older sister the told me if i was to audition with this record I would have to sauce it up and go all the way!! i created this one night around 5 am. the production and writing.

........

they didn't pick me for birthday bash, as a finalist. the crowd was the most in to my performance than anyone else. the MC, the judges, everyone loved me. but they didn't say my name and everyone around me was confused. i was stuck. the next day i performed this song my sister and pops and they prompted me to put this out immediately!! it was wild.
now everyone is sort of behind this song after a new person hears it.
