HOW “Against the Storm” WAS CONCEIVED AND RECORDED
I composed these 10 pieces a little while after the release of my very 1st ambient record under the monicker of FALLEN, entitled “Secrets of the Moon” released by the irish label Psychonavigation Records in 2014. I started recording the ideas in January 2015, closed inside my home recording studio, sorrounded by my favourite instruments and candles. I could say the compositions here are more composite than the those included in my recent releases on Time Released Sound (US, April 2018), Cathedral Transmissions (UK, July 2018) and Triple Moon Records (France, August 2018). Some tracks are divided in two or more parts, this also to make ‘em as dynamic as possible (thinking to how I wanted a composition to sound in 2015), without losing intimacy and delicacy. So, this record sounds different than my recent records but it contains some ideas I had the chance to develop in the recent years.
