Hell Yeah Recordings are pleased to present a brand new 12" by Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano aka Mushrooms Project, a DJ and production duo that has been turning out great 12”s and two full lengths since 2009. Their worldly disco sound is infused with all sort of influences from ambient to house, pop to psychedelia... guess why Hell Yeah team loves them...

The Rio Disco 12” features three cuts. The first is Rio Disco 84, a blissed out ambient cut with trilling guitars, lush pads and lots of seaside atmospheres. Organic hand drums and golden strings ensure it will have you fully horizontal before the end. Then comes an acoustic reprise of the same track, which is even more stripped back and beautiful, and then it’s Rio Disco 94.
This one is driven by flabby bass and deep, soft, rolling drums. Bird calls, breaking waves and languorous wind instruments all sooth your mind and soul as the track unfolds perfectly patiently.

This is a jam packed selection of greatness from one of modern disco’s finest acts with a very tasty 12” of bliss-disco to boot.

Lo-fi house from Californian duo Darnum Samp, straight out the Mood Hut handbook. Its flute-like synth work and crisp snares nod towards a propulsive, room-filling sound, but one veiled in a haze and mystery. In Flagranti return with their upcoming release, ‘Double Talk’ out on THE PLAYGROUND Records. The pair were once renowned for their tongue in cheek approach to slightly depraved, grimy and totally intoxicating nu-disco; one of their albums was even given the title “Brash and Vulgar” back in 2011. There are many waiting with baited breath to see what they’ll serve up this time around. 

In keeping with the spontaneous nature of their sound, Alex Gloor and Sasa Crnobrnja have been known to be some what illusive, with their website bio once reading “These guys don't really have a bio, they are so funny like that. Well anyway, you need to know that these are 2 Swiss cheese Muthafucka's who re-installed their rumps in NYC in the 80's, 90's or whenever (they are sooo old!! heh-heh)”. The duo met in Switzerland in 1991 and since 2002 have been hopping around the globe as In Flagranti, cropping up on labels such as Kitsuné, Gomma and Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound and quickly becoming a unique part of the disco landscape. 

Double Talk’s nostalgic disco-leaning flourishes are executed with astounding compositional skill; something that In Flagranti have been famed for. With ludicrous amounts of funk and ultra smooth vocal injections, it didn’t take long for a list of exciting artists to take the stems of the track in order to birth some remixes.  
The first is from Andy Butler, otherwise known as the driving force behind Hercules and Love Affair. A more industrial rendition of the original, Butler is an expert when it comes to knowing when to build and when to drop and he does so with precision. Next up is musician and producer, Wolfram, who puts analogue rhythms at the forefront to create something more early hours orientated than its predecessors. Finally, Dinamo Azari of Azari & III takes it down a few notches, whilst maintaining that late night feel, with his moody, tech-house centric adaptation.

Today’s Debut runs in tandem with the exciting news of the launch of Cin Cin. The label, headed up by Fort Romeau and Warm’s Ali Tillett, will host an ongoing series of split 12″s featuring friends old and new, in the spirit of collaboration.

With the A-side of opus number #001 (split between Fort and Nick Höppner), “Untitled”, Fort gives us the first taste of what Cin Cin has in store for us. This dreamy techno 909 track is completed with choral panning synths, keeping us guessing for what Höppner’s input will be on the flip.

Headed up by Joyce Lim, Sami Yenigun and Dawit Eklund, the trio formed when the latter two started throwing warehouse parties whilst studying at George Washington University. Joyce was introduced shortly after via friends and the label soon followed through the shared idea that 'music is the highest art'. First starting to share music around April 2014, they introduced Ethiopian producer Mikael Seifu to the fold, who has since been a regular contributor to the label's output alongside fellow producer Endeguena Mulu. The Bicep boys recently started their Truancy Volume with Mikael Seifu's brilliant 'Tuff Ruff", which we were inundated with ID requests for all over our Soundcloud. In more recent times the label has found a regular home on London's Radar Radio, taking up the first Sunday slot of every month. 

The track we're premiering today comes as part of Eklund's debut solo release, The Ouroboros EP, which will be out on November 10th. Describing the track himself as a funk laced trip through 'gully club music', "Litchi Juice" draws in inspiration from dance floor legends such as Pepe Bradock and Theo Parrish. As well as the premiere from Eklund today, we can also quietly mention that we'll have something from the whole 1432 R crew coming up on Truants before the end of 2015, so stay tuned for that.
