Actually havent heard this version of Famtasy before. The one I'm used to is more of a 'banger' :)

DJ Bexta Mixology Show - Classics Set!

This is a special mix that I did for the Sydney Rave History crew and their party Golden in June 2014 that unfortunately I can't play at due to other commitments, but this is the next best thing. Packed with classic trance gems plus a few lesser known corkers to keep it fresh, its the first in a series I hope to do featuring tunes from the pioneering trance era from 92 - 95.

Wack Records release there 21st record and this one is firing Hip Hop boom bap, with a nod to the 90's M.T.V Yo raps era with artwork to match!

The A side has Smoove flipping Craig Mack's classic 'Flavour In Your Ear' with massive orchestral big band stabs and lashings of heavy drums with sirens to boot!

On the flipside  Frezidante serve up his rework of Technique, reimagining Rakim on stage with Kool & The Gang's brass section set to intense mode!

Following the release of the 93 Lost Tape, https://soundcloud.com/djrikochet/lost-world-domination-e-mix-remixed-july-2023 this is the set that I made after it in mid-1994. 

Kaleidoscope tapes were sold through Sydney's Central Station Records. Only on a 90min tape, so many tunes were left off it at the time. This is the set I wanted to play on the B-Side. All of these tunes were in my record box at the time but I just didn't get the chance to record them. This is a remix of the B-Side only. 

I actually remixed this set 2 years ago after I was informed about the lost tape being found. It was also close timing on the passing of our fallen friend, Shaun Chatfield, so I thought it was timely to pay homage to him with a memorable set of those times. It was Shaun who invited us to record the set in his lair, warehouse, rave dungeon, recovery pad, or whatever it was called, we had the best times of our lives in that place. This is the music we would often play back then, including hardcore, breakbeat, and lots of jungle of course - R.I.P. Shaun, miss you bro xx

I started DJ'ing back in 1992 at various warehouse parties, raves and then into clubs and residencies. I played as DJ Eden from 1992 to about 1997, and most of my old skool stuff is under that name. I was resident at the very successful "Liquid" based in North Sydney for a few years, and also did our own show with Ian and Dan called "Positive Feedback" on Sydney's 99.3 FM (New Wave). I also recorded the 12 hours of music that would be used as the rotating Test Transmission for 99.3FM for a few months before they started proper transmission.

I then joined forces doing some of the first regular back to back gigs with my good mate Ian, and we played out as Brothers of Sound (BOS), including a long residency at Sounds on Sunday, and regular clubs nights throughout Sydney from 1997 to about 2006. We still play the occasional set together as BOS.
