A 3 part series of 100 Minute mixes released by Nik Fish in 1994. This one captures the RAVE sound of Sydney in that time period. Not much better than hearing where Nik came from, already a formidable DJ legend even then, Nik is one that has seen it all.. great to hear him spinning faster Rave stuff here. Enjoy!

Liquid was a popular Sydney night running from late 1994 through late 1997. I was one of the residents there and we had a great crowd and amazing following, with many special guests over the years. Myself and DJ Freestyle were asked to do promo tapes for a proposed CD release but unfortunately this never eventuated due to cost and logistics, so enjoy this from the archives as it's never seen the light of day! I've stitched both sides of the tape into a single mp3.

The SRH crew threw a cracking free party in Sydney on a balmy Spring Day on 3rd october 2015. This was my closing set (re-recorded post the event) which I wanted to share with the great people who joined us on the day and made it so much fun, and also for those that weren't able to be there and for the broader interwebz. Enjoy this mix of predominantly 1992-1994 classics, anthems, a bit of acid and some harder tunes to mix it all up.

In honour of Paul, I have uploaded to public domain, Paul's final recorded mix CD. 

Paul recorded this mix in my studio early Feb 2016 as a promo CD for the Jack The House 2 party which he was the core resident at and he had much input into the club night's direction. 

The cd was pressed up and 50 copies were given away free to early bird ticket holders on the night.

Hear the passion and joy Paul brought to the decks in this hip-house/acid house mix, playing records from his 1988-1992 collection. 

Jack The House will continue on May 20th - I know Paul wouldn't want it any other way.
Rest in peace Paul, let your music play forever.... on and on.

Paul Holden : Jack The House 2 Mix CD -FEB 2016 (last ever recorded mix)

I started DJ'ing back in 1992 at various warehouse parties, raves and then into clubs and residencies. I played as DJ Eden from 1992 to about 1997, and most of my old skool stuff is under that name. I was resident at the very successful "Liquid" based in North Sydney for a few years, and also did our own show with Ian and Dan called "Positive Feedback" on Sydney's 99.3 FM (New Wave). I also recorded the 12 hours of music that would be used as the rotating Test Transmission for 99.3FM for a few months before they started proper transmission.

I then joined forces doing some of the first regular back to back gigs with my good mate Ian, and we played out as Brothers of Sound (BOS), including a long residency at Sounds on Sunday, and regular clubs nights throughout Sydney from 1997 to about 2006. We still play the occasional set together as BOS.
