POUTCAST #48: Jayar

Kharkiv born artists Komponente & Kurilo have been an integral part of the local scene in the past years both as DJs, Live-Act and Producers.
Now further apart since the beginning of the war they are still united in music and we are happy to finally share this EP with which was originally conceived when both artists were still Kharkiv based during the pandemic.

Kurilo has since made the journey to the New York via Berlin in recent months. While Komponente took refuge in Kyiv for some time after having sat out most of the fighting in and around Kharkiv while lending a helping hand to families and elders who couldn't manage or didn't have the means to leave the city when russia attacked.

At this point we are just happy and thankful to have both of them still with us and to be able to finally get this EP out which by now seems to have travelled from a past life to us in the here and now.

Pandemics or War this is Electronic Music charged with pure emotions produced during one crisis, released during the next and we will still dance to it during whatever comes next!

A lifelong musician from San Clemente, California, Jovi found his start in music in the classical realm via violin and stand-up bass. After starting a few rock bands Jovi was introduced to the world of electronic music production… and he never looked back.

Jovi has now relocated to Playa Mizata, El Salvador where he runs a world class music studio with Adrian Alessandro. He and Adrian have started a successful duo over the last year and now they are set to embark on their first European Tour in August due to the popularity of their forthcoming unreleased vinyl tracks that have been receiving support from artists such as Munir Nadir & Adrian Calvet. 

Jovi is more than just an artist. He started a brand and Instagram page “Sivar Underground” which promotes local AND touring artists throughout Central America and beyond…. Shining a light on up and coming artists while also supporting the underground scene & culture worldwide. 

Jovi also organizes events and music festivals in El Salvador in an attempt to further spread underground electronic music culture to a fresh & growing scene. 

March 7-12th, Jovi has invited Cristian Sarde, Magda, KT, Ildec, Donald, Maher Daniel and Danny Daze to his studio on the beach of El Salvador to produce music and perform at a music festival. This is huge for a part of the world that never experiences lineups and festivals such as this. Jovi has a vision not only as an artist but as a steward and educational figure. 

Jovi is as dedicated to the underground scene as humanly possible. Here is a taste of his dark and spacey approach to mixing music. Enjoy.

Sweet Talk

fishplant is back! After his remix for FLYJNT last winter, and his successful releases on labels like Be Adult Music or Rythmica, now is our time to present you 'That's A Vibe on Fibonacci's Forest' - the last EP by this outstanding producer known for his upbeat and happy melodic style.

'That's A Vibe' is the opening track, a delicate gorgeous production where vibrating synths setup the vibe dancing over organic grooves - leaving space for its delicious vocal to shine through on a journey. One of our 2025favorites!

'Fibonacci's Forest' is a perfect B Side. A groovy, heavier floating track featuring a melody using Fibonacci's sequence layered over different nature soundscapes. 

On the remix duties, first presented is the return of Alley SA. The Cape Town based producer gives his magic touch to 'That's A Vibe', with a more Organic House approach that suits any beachclub spot.

Pinkowitz closes the EP, with an amazing debut by the American producer on PB stepping into a more hypnotic, melodic side of House music crafting a track perfect for setting up the vibe on a darker dancefloor.
