2011 saw a unique collaboration between hip hop icon T.I. And vocal
powerhouse Christina Aguilera.  While the song went
slightly under the radar in the pop charts it sported an emotional
chorus with a stirring vocal performance from Cristina Aguilera
that lends itself quite well towards a melodic bass rework.

Enter Collin Mcloughlin and Skrux, who's synth heavy interpretation
of Castle Walls provides a melancholy take on the hip hop focused
original. A soaring trace like arp guides the listener through a wave
of heavy bass and glitched vocals, making this interpretation of
Castle Walls a perfect balance between subtle beauty and overdriven
low end.

Track 6 from "When I Drifted I Heard A Faint Melody" with it's drums and some ambient sounds stripped. You can hear more nuances in the guitar and piano this way. I was very happy with how the two played off each other and the cello in this track.
