THE SCIENTIFICS are a Tech-breaks, Tech-House project formed back in 2006 by ECHONOMIST, MR.LOOKMAN and PALE PENGUIN in Thessaloniki, Greece. They have released many singles and remixes for labels like V.I.M.RECORDS, ERASE, BASSTARD, YELLOW FINGER COMMUNICATIONS, RELAX and they have released also some white label 12" singles. They have performed live all over the world and they have gained strong support and airplays by many internet radios like IBREAKS RADIO, NSB RADIO, BRAP FM, NUBREAKS RADIO, BBC1 (they have done an exclusive dj set for ANNIE NIGHTINGALES radio show) and many more. Since April 2007 they running their own label V.I.M.RECORDS!

Matheus Miras was born in Campinas, Brazil, in 1997. He began studying guitar at the age of 9 and piano at 10. At 13, he became interested in composition through the music of J. S. Bach, marking the beginning of his artistic output. Since then, Matheus has composed over 200 pieces for various settings, such as piano, harpsichord, string quartet, string orchestra, wind quartet, symphony orchestra, SATB choir, electronic and experimental music. Miras' work is mostly polyphonic and contrapuntal in nature, though his craft is often extremely exploratory.

Starting in 2017, he studied classical piano with professor Norberto Égon Osis and classical violin with professor Antônio Carlos Gomes at the Instituto Musical Souza Campos in Campinas. At the same time, he taught himself cello. In 2019, he pursued a degree in Musical Composition at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), where he was exposed to various styles, such as electronic, experimental, and atonal music, studying under professors like José Augusto Mannis, Jônatas Manzolli, Luiz Henrique Xavier, Suzel Ana Reily, Leandro Barsalini, Fernando Hashimoto, Paulo Adriano Ronqui and Carlos Fernando Fiorini.

Just someone who has a love for Breaks (almost all breaks but specifically Florida and Louisiana Breaks and Vocal Breaks)...Electro...Trance...Drum&Bass...Dub (the original Dub that was around the Tampa scene from the 90's and early 2000's...not the new Dub that these kids think is the shit)...Trip-Hop...E-Hop...and a few others. Was HEAVILY involved (to put it lightly...no pun intended but pun intended) in the Tampa/Orlando scene from the late 80's thru around 2007 or so...until the scene changed or was forced to change...but this shit is in my blood!!! I guess like they say...Blood in...Blood out!!! Had an iconic and well known house in South Tampa that was called "The House On Stilts"...it was the only house in the subdivision that was up on stilts like a beach house. And if you were in the scene...odds are you've swung thru at some point for one or more of the parties...Lol!!! If so...hit me up and tell me about it...I love hearing the stories because MAN O' FUCKING MAN...THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!! Best times of my life...and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat...I mean breakbeat!!!

Pervading the film world as well as the comic book medium the masked criminal genius known as Fantomas has impacted many art forms over the decades. Praised by absurdist painter set, film maker Jean Cocteau and novelist Umberto Eco. A sadistic killer and master of men, the character was thrust upon the world in 1911. The star of numerous novels, Fantomas employs similar techniques to supervillains of Marvel Comics to come many years later. A combination of Fu Manchu and James Bond, he is a master of disguise and appears to be timeless.

PALE PENGUIN’s one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, he’s been djing for almost 20 years being one of the best Greek Breaks/Techno/Tech-House djs. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals (Sola Luna, Balkan Voices, Urban Rhythm, Reworks, Butterfly, Spring Festen) alongside Slam, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Angel, Luke Slater, Dominic Eulberg, Modeselektor, Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts), Coldcut, Octave One, Eddie Piller etc, and many venues throughout Greece and Europe. He has done warm-ups to artists likes Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, Mushroom (Massive Attack), Frank Popp, Bjorn Torske, Bentley’s Rhythm Ace, Snowboy, Hooverphonic etc. He was one of the first radio producers playing Breaks/Drum n’Bass and Electronica in his legendary “Tricknology”, “Brainwash” and “Cinematica Paradiso” radio shows.  Since 2003 he’s resident dj in Bar/Club Elvis, Thessaloniki, Greece presenting Friday “BreakTech” nights in which he has hosted Meat Katie, Lee Coombs, Tom Real, Malente, Andy Smith, Ursula 1000, Smacs & Crazy Sonic, Lee Bass and Aidan Lavelle. He was also resident dj to legendary club Liebe, Thessaloniki, Greece in which he has done warm-up sets for Meat Katie, Kevin Saunderson, AtJazz, Break The Box etc. He has done exclusive mix sets for many net radios (Ibreaks Radio, NSB Radio, Breakbeat.Ca site, NuBreaks Radio), exclusive mix CD’s (“Battle Of The Breaks” series) for Freeze magazine, he has performed dj sets in Thessaloniki’s International Fair, Thessaloniki’s International Film Festival, has took part many times (as member of the djs team) in the biggest Balkans Hip-Hop/Breakdance/Funky Breaks event “Battle Of The Year/Balkans”, and in many clubs throughout Europe (Flex Club/Vienna, Arttheater Club/Cologne, Art & Dance/Cologne, Rivolli/London, Club Montepulciano/London, South London Pacific/London). Since early 2007, together with Echonomist and Mr.Lookman, launched and manages V.I.M. From the beginning of 2009 he has formed with KID STRETCH the Funky/Disco-Breaks project PALE THE KID. Focused mainly on Electro Disco-Breaks sound they have managed to release stuff for Breakbeat Paradise, V.I.M.Breaks, Dirty Drop, Warriorz Music and Timewarp Music. In the beginning of 2011 together with STAMA he had launched DIABLO LOCO RECORDS, a label specialized on top quality Tech-Breaks/Tech-Funk releases.
