Today’s Far Blue concept showcases @akiras perception. We are proud to have Akira on the platform, a well respected artist who has been known widely for his track selection and mixing capabilities. 

‘Explore the Clouds’ has been recorded at a unique place called MESA in his hometown Antwerp. At MESA, Akira always has the chance to express himself in any way. So, after three months of not playing any music, it felt good to do just that. 

Let this two hour mix take you on an adventure with your head in the clouds, but your feet dancing on the ground.

A Far Blue concept by Akira - 'Explore The Clouds'

Gwladys Laplace is a NYC-based DJ. She found her passion for Djing in London in 2017 whilst discovering the electronic underground scene. Her melodic style evolves from a clean and progressive techno to some of the finest psychedelic layers. 

Born in the French Alps, Gwladys is inspired by 
an eclectic diet of neometal and rock provided by her parents' record collection. She had the chance to play guitar with a member of the "Rhapsody" band, who revealed her passion for music.

With pure emotion and true love, her energy will transport your mind far beyond the standard drums and melodies.

Akira Salehin, known professionally as Akira, is a DJ and producer hailing from Antwerp, Belgium. Born in 1987, he developed a passion for music at a young age, influenced by both classical and house genres. This early interest evolved into a dynamic career spanning over two decades, during which he has continually refined his unique sound. At 17, Akira began working at the USA Import Record store in Antwerp, immersing himself in the vinyl culture. His dedication led to a residency at the legendary Café d'Anvers, a pivotal venue in his early career. Over the years, Akira has performed internationally, with notable appearances in UK, Norway, USA, Finland, The Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Thailand and events such as Burnig Man, ADE, Tomorrowland and The Gardens of Babylon.
Akira's music is characterised by a seamless blend of electronic and organic elements, creating a storytelling journey that captivates listeners and keeps them moving. His commitment to crafting the perfect groove and flow continues to define his contributions to the electronic music scene. Underground house music in all its shapes and forms.
In 2021, Akira released his debut track "Close To Itajai" on Souksonic, a label curated by Lost Desert. He followed this with a remix of Matias Fittpaldi's "Alas" in 2022. A collaboration with Hermanez was released on the Mooizo label in 2024, reflecting his ongoing evolution as an artist. Akira is diligently working on new music in his home studio, with some very exciting releases planned for the near future.
