It didn’t happen all at once. Fear came quietly, like a shadow stretching just beyond my vision. It whispered lullabies of doubt, fed me comfort laced with decay. I welcomed it — a familiar ache — until it wrapped around my soul like barbed wire.

Piece by piece, I was unmade. My voice was the first to go — swallowed by silence thick as blood. Then my will. Then the light behind my eyes. Now I drift in a place where time rots, where even my screams echo back in a language I don’t understand.

No one comes here.
Not even death.
Only me — and the thing I’ve become.
