Born in November ‘88 and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, So Slick’s journey into hip-hop started in middle school, freestyling on the way to school with friends—rapping about the struggles they faced, sports, and cracking jokes on each other. After high school, he moved to Elmsford and later to Yonkers, where he started taking music more seriously, dropping mixtapes like Please Stop Fronting and Tryna Touch a Million.

As his skills developed, So Slick co-founded the rap group Cash Mafia Affiliates, linking up with other talented artists. His grind even landed him an A&R meeting with Nigel from Warner Bros. Records, who confirmed what he already knew—the bars were there, but building a stronger social presence was key. However, life in the streets kept pulling him back, leading to repeated run-ins with the law, county bids, and time in inpatient and outpatient programs.

Despite the struggles, fatherhood gave him a new perspective, and now, So Slick is back with a fresh hunger. Not just a rapper, he’s a versatile artist who can make hardcore hip-hop, club bangers, and tracks for the ladies, showcasing his range and storytelling ability. With a new focus on consistency and visuals, So Slick is ready to make an impact and solidify his name in the game. The story is still being written—one bar at a time.
