Cosmic Drift

The seventeenth episode of our mix series showcases Philipp Drube, who’s DJing career started with his first gig in Hamburg 2011. After a couple of years he moved to Berlin where he co-founded Space Trax label with Frank Heise.
His meticulous and hand-tailored sets focus on fast-paced techno and different faces of trance. A blend which earns him appearances at Berlin’s most established clubs as well as several worldwide bookings.

In this mix, Philipp reflects on the moods he experienced during some cold and dark January days in Berlin, paired with a wave of inspiration that came after the Space Trax showcase at RSO in mid January.

The Copenhagen-based producer and DJ, @oscano, is to be found underground—literally. As part of the Quake collective, he crafts and digs for sound in Bunker 66, a hidden cave between tall trees, half-buried beneath fallen leaves.

This mix moves through cheeky basslines, rolling percussion and weightless atmospheres, blending fresh sounds with echoes of early 2000s progressive trance. A steady pulse, a shifting landscape - and hip-moving grooves. 📀📀📀

We are delighted to welcome UK born - Berlin based DJ and producer Sioc to this month's podcast episode. 

Creator of the recently launched label Satori, Sioc shaped his sound through influences of the early techno, trance and rave  scene.

In his dj sets Sioc captures the underground ethos of Berlin. His deep-rooted connection to music is reflected in his style diving deep into a blend of diverse and trippy trance, hypnotic grooves and darker techno.

Purgatory (Fortis, Severus) — A haunting meditation suspended between what once was and what might have been. Inspired by the bittersweet ache of lost connections — a friend, a moment, a possibility — this piece gives voice to the universal struggle of balancing grief and resilience.

Purgatory here is not a place, but a state of being: transient, enigmatic, and profoundly human. It’s the space where emotions linger, where strength brushes against fragility, and where the weight of the past quietly surrenders to the pull of what’s ahead.

The subtitle Fortis, Severus speaks to inner fortitude — the quiet strength to endure life’s storms — and the seriousness needed to confront its deepest truths. Misericors softens this resolve with compassion, offering relief from intensity: a gentle reprieve where tension dissolves into understanding.

This is a journey of metacognition — a descent into the soul’s hidden corridors, illuminated only by the steady pulse of time. Neither confined nor free, Purgatory holds the breath of possibility in liminal stillness, just before the tide turns. A fleeting yet timeless soundscape: brooding, merciful, and infinitely human.
