Each artist inspired me deeply and ignited that creative fire that we as artists are always looking for. The Futile Prayer

In a final act of grief, the Sea-Goat does what no one should do:
He tries to reverse time.

He begs Chronos.
He chants, prays, echoes his voice into the very ocean that birthed him.
He calls the currents backward, hoping to return the children to the deep.
He wants them to remember.

But Chronos does not answer.

The tide keeps moving.
The clock keeps ticking.
And the Sea-Goat, once mighty in will, collapses beneath the truth:

You cannot unwrite time. You can only carry it.

This track is the emotional crescendo and collapse —
The echo of a heart breaking in slow delay.

5.) Turn Back the Tide

This party was so fucking good there are now naked pictures of me on the internet and I don't give a shit.
This set was like...hour 6? of 9 1/2. And I went in on the techno from 4.30am until sunrise-ish. I was pretty fucking exhausted by the end of this section but I stuck it out another 2 hours because of my own stupidity/resilience. I was found passed out on a couch the next afternoon.
Great times.

Fat Freddy's Drop’s pirate soul train, resolutely independent, worldwide.

Formed in 1999 in Wellington, New Zealand our sound draws inspiration from almost every part of the black music lexicon. Soul drenched vocals and jazz harmonies collide with tape delays and echo chambers, underpinned by a rhythm section as comfortable laying down a throbbing, techy soundscape as they are a swampy blues stomp.
