Early hardstyle, reverse bass and gated kicks and donk donk haha ☣️ 2007 era. Hardstyle really began to take off into its own genre at this point. Distorted, hard, dark and downright dirty sounds. The tracks became shorter, as you can see in this mix. Same amount of tracks, at least 15 minutes shorter than previous Fusion mixes. Also the term 'Donk' really came to use during this time. Producers like Donkey Rollers and Noisecontrollers taking the distortion and bass into new levels not heard before. Some hated it, some went with it. For me it was all about Hardstyle finding its feet and moving on from hard trance. Not till later years maybe, 2012, did it really take off for me. The use of Dubstep and Psy Trance was when it was on fire for me. The tracks also are harder to mix, more noises and extra snare drums. The first two tracks on this mix, were a pain in the ass to mix really honestly lol
