"JahYu’s take on 'Grow' (yep, that was a FKOF Free Download too) pays homage to dub culture. Its tsunami-esque waves of basslines push the outer limits, while intricate panning techniques adding extra dimensions to the track's stereo image. Changes in percussive rhythms twist the structure of this remix, dragging us closer to the audial experience that exists purely to lead sound system meditation. 

"The switch in advanced bass lineage makes this a notable free download by the German producer (one he unfortunately submitted too late for the original 'Grow' remix competition). It's one we feel suitably shakes the foundations. A worthy effort! Respect is also due to our Banana Stand Sound fan, Oxóssi and ADP for the original content… The fire still burns."

Smoothly defying genre conventions and with a keen sense of space, the up and coming artist and producer merges Dub and Dubstep characteristics in a fluid yet precise manner, fused with a meticulous and multi-faceted melodic approach. Primed for future dance floor opportunities as much as home-listening situations, the meditative journey 'Through The Desert' shall stand the test of time as an integral part of the greater Dub and Dubstep canon.

Vast dunes of harmonic overtones, the title track kicks off with ethereal chords and oriental lead melodies in a constant state of ebb and flow. 'Through The Desert' nests its meditative contents on a heavyweight foundation, overdriven sub-bass bustling amid the auditory sandstorm. On a more technoid venture, 'Mirage Dub' evokes a profound sense of ominous anticipation.
