"Energetic", "versatile", and "the life of the party" are descriptions that all fit EVERY set by DJ Touchdown. Born Shai Keisean Browne on the 23rd of July 1991 in Barbados, Shai took the leap from thinking about being a deejay in 2011 to "doing" in 2014. His first real gig landed him the honour of becoming a promotional deejay/emcee for Cockspur Rum at their Cockspur Rum Party at the Oistins Bay Garden, Christ Church. This was only the beginning as "Touchdown" really did touchdown, landing gigs as the resident deejay at a weekly party called "The Jump Off" held in the ever popular St. Lawrence Gap and also at "Tropic" a monthly party held all across the beautiful island of Barbados, thus cementing his ability as being able to both build a "vibe" and also being able to bring a party to an exciting close, always leaving the crowd wanting more. More and more gigs would see DJ Touchdown being featured in deejay line ups comprising the best of the best from the island of Barbados and overseas, including Kevin Crown, DJ Puffy, Jus Jay, Scott Le Roc & Mali Fresh, Hutchy & Sizz, Jon Doe & Tami and many others. He has also established himself as a master of genres and crowds, having also featured at parties such as Awaken, Bim Tipsy and Jabnival and also being able to lockdown yet another resident deejay spot, this time at the popular McBride's Nightclub & Lounge. With such a reputation already in what is a young career and having most recently joined the team at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation on what is the premier FM radio station in Barbados, 98.1 The One, one can only guess at the heights that DJ Touchdown will be able to attain in the future. Dru ” is one half of the Renegade International Sound which is managed by Jon Doe of HOTT 95.3 FM in Barbados. Dru who was born and grew up in Barbados, moved to Montreal, Canada as a teen. With a strong love and passion for music, he soon teamed up with DJ Skizz , Father Harmony & Dawg to form ” Black Harmony ” one of Montreal most popular Sound Systems in the 90’s and early 2000s .

In 2002, Dru became a co-host of the “Roots Rock Reggae Show ” on CKUT 90.3 FM . Over his 20 plus years in the music industry he worked with some of Reggae’s & Soca’s top artistes , DJs & Sound Systems; Cham, Capleton,Luciano, Freddy MC Gregregor, L.U.S.T, Alison Hinds,Machel, Skinny Fabulous, Rupee, Problem Child, Bomani, Mr. Lexx, Bunij Garlin, Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah , Peter Ram, Gorg, Walshy Fire , Stone Love, Massive B(Bobby Konders, Jabba), D Life, I Octane and many more.

Dru also enjoy mentoring and sharing his musical experiences with young, talented and aspiring DJs such as Dj Serius , Bundy of Teflon and his nephew Shaayz Music .

Dru continues on his musical journey as he has recently expanded his talents into the production field.
