A jacked up mid 90's house version of a disco-soul classic that used to rip up the floor at The Unabombers' 'Electric Chair' parties. Back in the day before everything could be downloaded or discog'd, this one had the spotters going absolutely spare. Some old-fashioned dusty crates digging by Pablo turned it up a few years back, and it still leaves behind massive dancefloor devastation wherever it roams.... Now in spruced up, wigged out form via a Pablo and Shoey Rejig, it's on Volume 3 of 'Downtownsounds Classics', out in June on FFP...

Hour long mix of Pablo taking the dancers home at The Sugar Club New Year's Eve party. They'd already been rinsed by Arveene, Johnny Moy, Billy Scurry and Kelly Anne Bryne so great to see so many folks there right till the last bars. 

Unfortunately the last track gets cut halfway through, you know how these bouncers are with their timekeeping and their rules! Great to share a bill with such music loving buzzers and get all the love from the dancers, top way to start the year....

Disco king Daniel Wang played a wonderful intimate gig for us in June 2010 in what was called Bia Bar, and suffice to say he raised the roof! This is the 1st part of the recording... Part 2 should be somewhere nearby...

The system was a bit basic in there so it's not the best sound quality (one channel dead plus massive bass woof)but in Danny's words it was a 'Fucking GROOVY party!'.

Preoccupied and dedicated to the preservation of the motion of hips, we are a bunch of DJ's, producers, promoters and party people who love the funk in all it's forms, from 1940's New Orleans all the way to the deep technoid recesses of 2017...

Since 2011 we've been running a label that specialises in disco/funk edits and the reissue of classic dancefloor material. We've released and reissued music by the likes of Nicky Siano, Daniel Wang, Arthur Russell and DJ Rahaan, and we've also done a couple of turns on the 'Paper Disco' imprint, a new incarnation of the wonderful UK house label Paper Recordings. These releases have garnered support from the likes of Optimo, Horse Meat Disco, Bicep, DJ Sotofett ( Sex Tags Mania), DJ Kaos ( Jollyjams) and many more...

We throw parties that we hope capture the original New York/Chicago spirit - a broad mix of dance music played to open minded, fun loving dancers and messers. Currently Pablo holds a regular residency in Ukiyo in Dublin, as well as floating between a host of other venues in the city, including The Liquor Rooms, where he alternates monthly between Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. 

Over the years we have been closely aligned with Nightflight/Airbound (http://soundcloud.com/nightflightdublin) and Downtownsounds, two crews with similar tastes and spirit. 

2013 saw the launch of our 'Downtownsounds Classics' series, which will feature the big tunes from the long running Dublin clubnight, as well as a best selling EP from Chicago's DJ Rahaan, and there'll be plenty of new music to come from the label in the next few months.....
