As music has always been an important part of her life, she was testing and collecting different styles, before she finally found her home in deep, melodic and bassy sounds from all over the globe, somewhere between tradition and modernity. The major influence on her musical creation emerges from the spanish-speaking parts of the world, with a special dedication and love for Cumbia, as you can hear in her sets and productions.
Barbarella is also co-founder of "Pauken & Trompeten", a non-profit-label, podcast series and DJ-duo.

Barbarella delights the music scene with eclectic sets that can't be easily put into any category. From Cumbia to Slowrave and all the way to Disco, her bassy, percussive, deep sound sets the body in motion and keeps the feet moving. She takes you on a relaxed yet exciting musical journey through time and space, melting genre-boundaries with her mix of traditional and electronic sounds, sometimes flowery and light, sometimes heavy and dark.
Beyond the dancefloor, Barbarella has made her mark in the international World-Downtempo scene with her label and DJ-duo "Pauken & Trompeten" (@paukentrompeten), which she co-manages with @barriokatz. As a producer, she can look back on numerous releases on prestigious labels such as Shango Records, Camel VIP Records, Folcore Records, Hug Records & more.

The next episode of our series is mixed by Jonas Hühne from Mainz and it‘s very special to us, since he recorded it while we were traveling together in mexico.

His sound reaches from midtempo & deep techno to slow global beats. Especially in his ecstatic dance sets he is traveling through different kinds of rhythms touching the whole range of emotions with various styles of music. His vision is to create a room of safetiness and trust where people can open themselves, get in touch with their inner feelings and express whatever comes up.

He is not only a great dj, but also co-creator of the „Mach Mal Langsam“-colective that regularly hosts parties in the area around Frankfurt (Main).
