after quite some time I'm back to start into the new year with a fresh mix!
This time it is mixed by Dom Tilson, currently living in Hamburg, Germany.

Dom Tilson, born and raised in Karlsruhe, early discovered his love for small & dark clubs, where mainly industrial and dark techno sound dominated. Influenced by this sound, he started spinning in 2016 and played mainly in Clubs like Romy S, Romantica & White Noise in Stuttgart. Later on, events like 'Bucht der Träumer' and 'Jangala' showed him the beauty, depth and diversity of downtempo music.

In his productions and sets, he tries to merge his different influences into a sound full of melancholia and deep melodies but driving at the same time. From deep down to dark tech, fast or slow, the mood is alike.

In 2020 he had his first release on the label 'Kollektiv.Liebe' and co-founded the creativity hub @schleichend , which is providing a platform for artists of all kinds.

In the year 1606, the famous Italian artist Caravaggio produced the painting Supper at Emmaus. This celebrated picture is housed in the capital Milan. Supper at Emmaus 1606 describes the event that unfolded as recorded in the Holy Bible, specifically in the book of Luke 24.

Caravaggio had mellowed during the four or five years intervening between the two versions of the subject, and this Emmaus has become sacramental in effect. Although its format is similar, details have changed: the aged serving woman added, the innkeeper moved to Christ's left, the still life reduced to a meager supper; and the poses and gestures have ceased to be bombastic. The colors, still varied in hue, have become less striking, the light softened, the atmosphere deepened, the fattura loosened and its glossiness dulled - as in The Death of the Virgin. These changes, none very drastic in itself, indicate a transformed conception of the subject.

zhart & Rakäthe: When you always put music on before you hop on the bike or start the car, when you clean whilst dancing to new tracks, when you curate several playlists for different situations, when you dig for the best energizing music for the warm up of your handball team…you realize that you have a strong connection to music. And when a good friend is wondering why your not a DJ and you know he’s right then its time to start the adventure.

Düster, dunkel, nass und ungewiss.
Niol und Sel machen sich auf den Weg zu neuen Abenteuern. Es ist eine ungewöhnliche Zeit. Ständig begleitet von Unbehagen, Unsicherheit und Ungewissheit. In ihrer gewöhnlichen Umgebung können sie nicht bleiben. Sie müssen alles hinter sich lassen. «Wohin nur?», fragte Sel. «Folge mir, Sel. Wir müssen los. Unser Bauchgefühl sagt es uns. Darauf konnte ich mich immer verlassen!», antwortete Niol.
Ihre Familie, ihre Nächsten und ihre Kumpanen warnten sie vor dem Ungewissen. Es wäre viel zu gefährlich, glaubt lieber uns und bleibt hier. Seid vernünftig!
In den Wald. Eine andere Atmosphäre. Düster, kalt und nebelig. Was beeinflusst diese Empfindung?
Sie gehen raus aus ihrem Dorf. Einen düsteren Weg entlang. Steinig und steil. Schon immer wollten die Zwei dorthin. Sie haben es sich zuvor nie getraut, zu viel einreden lassen und nicht auf ihr Bauchgefühl gehört. Der Wegesrand ist zugewachsen. Birken, Eichen, Buchen und Fichten. Sie blicken zurück. Sowohl vor ihnen als auch hinter ihnen sehen sie nur Nebelschwaden. Sie wissen nicht wohin ihr Weg führt. Nur eins spüren sie ganz deutlich: Sie möchten weg. Weg von ihrer gewohnten Umgebung. Ihrem inneren Drang nach Veränderung nachgehen. Sie haben nicht viel dabei: Werkzeug, Schnur, Essen für einen Tag, einen Rucksack und ihre Klamotten, die sie jetzt gerade tragen. Der Himmel grummelt. Die Wolken ziehen zu und es wird dunkel. Es beginnt zu gewittern. Aus diesem Grund müssen Niol und Sel einen Unterschlupf finden oder sich selbst einen bauen. Sie sind schnell durchnässt. Egal unter welchen Baum sie sich stellen, sie werden von den schweren Regentropfen getroffen. Sie rennen weiter. Mit ihrem Gepäck und den mittlerweile schwer gewordenen Kleidern. Die Sicht wird immer schlechter. Wurzeln von grossen Bäumen ragen aus dem Boden. Der Boden ist nass und rutschig. Niol rennt voraus, da er sich auskennt. Er blickt hinter sich und sieht Sel in diesem Moment am Boden liegen. Schmerzverzerrt hebt sie sich ihren Fuss. Es wird immer dunkler. Sie müssen sich beeilen. Der Regen wird immer schlimmer, es bildet sich immer mehr Nebel und bald bricht die Nacht herein. Ihnen ist kalt und sie frieren. Sie müssen dringend eine Bleibe vor Einbruch der Dunkelheit finden. Sie müssen sich wärmen und Etwas essen. Seit Stunden sind sie im Regen unterwegs.
Ob sie rechtzeitig eine Höhle oder einen Jägerstand finden? Oder müssen sie doch selbst einen Unterstand im strömenden Regen bauen... 
Hört auf euer Bauchgefühl.
