Our second Edition of the Striped Series comes from our friend, the lovely @einfachnora. 

Some words from Nora about how she fell in love with downtempo (english below):

"Ich hab mich eigentlich direkt bei meinen ersten Open airs und Clubbesuchen in Halle in downtempo verliebt, vorallem weil ich die Musik am meisten fühle. Und am meisten geprägt hat mich definitiv Timon (kueksen), der mir das auflegen beigebracht hat und ohne den ich wahrscheinlich nie zu diesen wundervollen Erfahrungen als DJ gekommen wäre. 

Also hier nochmal ein ganz großes Dankeschön voller liebe an kueksen, dessen musikalisches Talent und Leidenschaft mich bis heute beim Musikmachen prägt und beeinflusst. Und natürlich haben mich auch die Menschen geprägt, die mich von Anfang supported haben, sei es als stetige tänzer*innen vor mir oder die mir die Gelegenheiten geben, zu spielen und so als Musikerin und Mensch zu wachsen."

Atonom (Hartz IV) is a side-project by Atonom, containing carefully selected Bass-, Progressive- & G-House tracks, that work damn well when pitched down.
Way down. All the way down to around 102-105bpm. 
Making these tracks bouncy as fuck, without loosing their original power, and maybe even enhancing their kickass force by giving them some space to breathe. 
Atonom meets Slippery When Wet. Kinda.
Straightforward Hartz IV Techno. 
Slow, Raw & Dirty. 

So far I only played this specific style at spontanious gigs every once in a while, but now I finally managed to record a good example of what Atonom (Hartz IV) stands for.
Focusing mainly on my early collection of Bass- & G-House tracks "The Next Level" became a suitable opener for the Hartz IV series, perfectly curated by Brassic's Farmer Jim.

(pssst: when dropped in the right moment, it is even a suprisingly good choice to bring an afterhour back to life... give it a try... 😜)
