Lisa Gerrard (born 12 April 1961 in Melbourne) is an Australian musician, singer and songwriter who became famous as a member of Dead Can Dance. She is known for her unique vocal technique, influenced since her childhood by Melbourne’s multiculturalism. It is a dramatic contralto with a vocal range varying over three octaves.
