This soundscape, is from an ongoing installation in the gender neutral bathroom annex at The Bearded Tit, gallery and bar, in Sydney Australia. Featuring flushing field recordings, rehydrating reworks & lullaby versions of gayer manthems and womanthems, damp disco, bedew beats, hydrating horizontal house, classics + classical, stimulating spoken word from queer heroes & sheroes, suggestive splashing + bubbling brooks, Pavlovian cascading urinals, dripping plug holes, choral versions of iconic works. This mix runs on a 24/7 loop in the galleria, like audio Himalayan salt lamp or a sonic catheter.

The Bearded Tit Bathroom Soundscape

Carrie Morrison aka CarrieOnDisco is one of San Francisco's most beloved figures in the queer community. In late 2010 a new girl rolled into town, a blonde bombshell ready to show the town there was a new Disco and House head around, this one with a British accent. Equipped with club-sense and skills to pay the bills, it seemed she was destined to be playing the exhaustive and often demoralzing SF club circuit. But, even with her honed abilities, selections, and timing, Carrie held on, opting for a less abrasive approach. Cooking slowly like a good Sunday roast, Carrie turned heads and created a bit of a cult fanbase one magical set at a time. @carrieondisco
