this was probably the most important set i’ve played in my career // with all the shit that’s been transpiring in my life (good + bad + everything in between), this was the catharsis i didn’t know i needed 🌌

i was able to let go of a lot- expectations around what genres could be mixed, the idea that a “supporting” act should stay in the back drop, and more generally societal pressures that keep oneself from being oneself ☯️

all this culminating to this point in my personal journey, i know for certain this is the life i love to lead 🧘‍♂️

i’m honored to share my set with y’all and hope to continue inspiring creativity and growth through my musical storytelling 🎶

G-MIX OCT 22 HALLOWEEN

Kelly Zan has ventured into some new sonic territories with her latest mix for MEMETIC. This set starts off with an absolutely beautiful Kelbin remix of Daphni (aka Caribou) and then takes a surprising but very welcome turn into UK Garage territory courtesy of  Sammy Virji's 'Blue Roll'. After that Kelly is off to the races with this quick mix of UK Garage & Techno resulting in a very well crafted and thoughtful  mix.  This one is fire as they say, turn it up! Kelly has been deeply involved in organizing MEME each year in Winnipeg and over the last few years has really developed her DJ skills and forged a unique sound in Winnipeg, perhaps one of only a few in Manitoba mixing these particular styles together.  Stay tuned for more soon as we ramp up our MEMETIC MIX SERIES highlighting the MEME 2023 lineup (MEME takes place June 8-10, 2023).
