John Sono is a Dutch house DJ, born in 1981, nearby Amsterdam. 
From his childhood, music has been a common thread in his life. At home it was never quiet, the radio was always on or LPs were playing, later CDs. When John started playing the piano from the age of 7, musicality really seemed to flow through his veins. After 7 years of lessons, he decided to start playing the drums as well. At the age of 18, John started working in a pub as a part-time job next to his studies. It soon became clear that playing music suited him well. For a few years, John was at the controls of various pubs and clubs. That's where the DJ virus and the love for house music really started. As a DJ, John Sono has developed into melodic and energetic progressive house. Exquisite combinations of rhythms and melodies can always be heard in the sets of Amsterdam's Most Wanted DJ John Sono.

I am Amsterdam based and musically inspired by a variety of genres. When first going to parties, it was trance, moving into hardstyle and hardtrance before starting to listen to everything techno and house.

When DJ-ing I play that genre, but sometimes also playing trance.

I am heavily inspired by Berlin techno. Listening to (and playing) old tracks from the 90's is also still something I really appreciate.
