Not so long ago, Argentinean Poulper (SXDNS146) and Lithuanian Aurum Miles joined forces to launch the promising label Quixotical Records, an upsurging platform driven by Disco and Techno influences infused with EBM flashes and Electro pieces.

For the forthcoming release of the already respected imprint, they bring you Ludviq, the head of Mexico-based label Bonkers. His "Disease" EP delivers two well-constructed originals and four alluring remixes made with love by Random Atlas (SXDNS155), MAN2.0 (SXDNS081), Chinosynth, and Poulper himself.

The track we were solicited to review/premiere was cooked by beloved-by-all duo Random Atlas. The Chileans based in Berlin took "Disease" to their lab and, using a fine-tuned combination of dark science and black magic, delivered a biting and pungent version. These guys never disappoint, either with their absurd originals or hot collaborations, their output is second to none. Here, for instance, they brought the solid original a more aggressive and menacing mood, filling it with eerie synth FXs and a more robust bassline. Kudos!

New upcoming EP from Italian A-Tweed (@antakaatweed), a psychedelic freak journey this time mainly focused on digital sounds.
The title track "Slime Mould Maze" is dedicated  to Physarum polycephalum, a single-celled, brainless organism that can make “decisions” and solve mazes.  A tribute to the weird side of nature.
"Midi Cooper“ is a track completely produced with digital sounds controlled via Midi. All samples come from original 1960s advertisings.
"Easels Ripped My Flesh" is another pun to express A-Tweed's love for Buchla synthesizers (Buchla Music Easel) and Frank Zappa's music (Weasels Ripped My Flesh,1970).
The release includes two remixes by French producer Kubebe (@nicolakubebe)and German Tassilo Vanhoefen (@eshu-est).

The journey continues for our beloved French inhouse artist, Kubebe. He returns once again to the Fauna Reve pit with "Power Plant", an EP loaded with a bunch of funk, discordant sounds and a bit of reggae vibe. 

The swirl of ideas that can lodge in Kubebe's consciousness is immense, from experimental creations created with noise generators, to internal tribal chases or relaxed atmospheres.
Kubebe’s most recent collaboration is with Italian, A-Tweed, in "The Garden" EP. In the past, the Lille-born producer collaborated with Bufi on the "Bufebe" EP.  Some of his productions live on labels such as Duro Label, Calypso Records, Feines Tier, Hard Fist Records. 

This new sonic odyssey from Kubebe will be available and ready to add to your collection starting September 2.

Formed by two figures of the French electronic underground scene, Danse Alice is the dream project of craftsmen who combine punk spirit, stakhanovist ethics and disdain for contemporary formatting. Spontaneously shaped in the studio in a creative burst, the first tracks of this Seagull & Horses EP finds a happy medium between innovation and coaxing reminiscences of a golden age during which punks and clubbers used to meet together on the same dirty sidewalks. Danse Alice - The Seventh Seagull

Bufi & Kubebe return to Fauna Reve with their second collaborative EP "Sternana". This production is composed of five original tracks that present a fusion of urban rhythms with sticky basslines, booming drums and resonant, psychedelic and melting sounds.
The release opens with "El Jockey", a collaboration with the talented Portuguese singer Abrao. Together, they created a hypnotic and powerful track, full of glitches and sound caves. Abrao's voice takes you on a surreal journey and envelops you with a feeling of mysticism.
"Sternana" is the second track on the EP, a collaboration with the talented Livia. It's a mixture of urban electronics and street sounds that takes you through alleys full of punctured drums, resonant sounds, snare rolls and Latin rhythms.
The rhythm twists with "Aguachile Dembow", a cut that fuses psychedelia with dembow rhythm. This track has a powerful energy that makes you feel like you're at a street party. Synths blend
with deep basslines and psychedelic vocals to take you through
an amazing sound experience.
"Llooccaa" is the next track on the EP. This cut features deep and rumbling basslines while pizzicato guitars, cut vocals, and synths push you down. 
Finally, the EP closes with "Cicatriz", a mixture of oriental sounds with urban rhythms, melting and sweaty basslines.

A false calm blankets the grounds. The rear entry succumbs to the creeping dark as the wind extinguishes the dying light; the old gods reclaiming their fire. Beyond the pacing guards, senses dulled by the piercing air and warm drink, the creaking wood and subdued final breaths evade detection. As the lord delights in the sadistic pleasures that beckon his fate, a foreboding shadow-play of silhouettes shift along the paper screen. Careful footsteps build to a driven sprint and the unmistakable ring of an unsheathed blade. The shriek of the lord’s unwilling companion draws the guards, only to be greeted by the red that paints the room. 

The legendary Lyon-based label Hard Fist, known for their genre pushing output, have shared their latest 10-track compilation, the first digital release on the imprint since it's inception. Taking influence from all eras and all corners of the globe, the release is an eclectic mix of sound, grounded by a shared commitment to experimentalism. The compilation delights in skilfully transitioning the listener from jubilant italo-disco to desolate acid techno with very little notice. Our pick of the litter is Omar Joesoef’s ‘Frantic’, an anxiety-inducing stomper that would be at home on the soundtrack to any 80s slasher flick.

In the meantime, Digital Danceforce returns with a series of releases over the next few months designed to suit your home raving requirements. First up, from Mexico is Iñigo Vontier. His "Dune Dune" EP comes from Iñigo's works in his studio with his synths and drum machines. He says "The idea was to create some tracks without so much production but fulled with analog beats and and raw takes. An EP that hits you in the face because of the savage feeling on it”.

Fauna Rêve was born in 2020, but it was actually conceived years ago. In a remote town in the Mexican jungle, a group of teenagers gathered to find new and different realities, far from the temporary. No one knew that in those long nights the germ of future and distant adventures had been planted.
 
It is difficult to deny that the overexposure to transforming agents such as psychedelic rock, rave culture and proto-tech-mex left an irreversible mark on the incipient personalities of our protagonists. 

Time later, the label was born between dark and distorted memories of the jungle, the wildlife, the chemicals, the synthetic tones, the electric guitars and the slow sunrises, which  finally did not stop feeling like an ancient deja vú.
