What is originality in music anymore? It's something I've struggled with as a producer and DJ for much of the past 10 years. As a producer I've pretty much given up on sounding original, but as a DJ I've always tried to find music that sounds original or at least attempts to do so. When it comes to dance floor music I've found it nearly impossible to find music that truly has an original sound to it, but I've been finding all sorts of abstract and eclectic Electronica and random tracks here and there that to me really feel like they're doing something different or going Against The Grain if you will....

When two of the worlds best electronica/downtempo producers and DJs, Bluetech and Dj Maggie respectively asked me to create a set for their streaming show Holotropic Happy Hour I knew this was the perfect opportunity to finally put together a set of these tracks! I hope you enjoy the journey!

A snippet from my set at Wunderbar, a little gem of a beach bar on the west coast of South Africa.  A combination of live dj-ing with live synth &  piano melodies and stabs.  Playing live keyboard with my sets just makes a set so much more enjoyable for me.  Especially when I do full 4-5hour marathon sets.

Hope you guys enjoy this. This set was mixed with pure passion and a recordbox full of love!

Chasing Sunsets

My most enjoyable set playing for a crowd...EVER! 

A completely unplanned set, old and new tracks old blended together to result in one EPIC night on the dance floor! 

It is by no means perfect.  There are mistakes, its Friday night at Afrikaburn after all but it wouldn't be right(IMO)to re-record it back in the studio with no mistakes and the smoothest transitions.  

I have played for many parties, big and small.  BUT never in my life have I felt so powerful, loved, appreciated and humbled all at the same time for just doing what I love doing...entertaining YOU guys with music!

Thank you to those who were there and part of truly my most memorable night as a dj...EVER!

Unfortunately the first 45minutes did not record.  I can re-record that part if anyone request that.

This is my opening set for Souls Unite presents Chapel Groove Vol.2 - a day festival held on a Wine Estate out in the Paarl Wine Region in Cape Town, South Africa. 

It is a journey through beautiful melodic Deep House, some tribal percussive grooves and a touch of funk here and there. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed putting it together <3

This set is a tribute to Afrikaburn which was not able to take place this year. This is the first time in 5 years that I wasn't able to dance and play on those lovely desert playgrounds. I hope this set will, even if just for a brief moment, transport you back to the magical, dusty dance floors of Tankwa Town.

It is a mixture of what I have come to call Ethno Deep House - Deep House with various different Ethnic influences. Sometimes tribal, sometimes arabic, sometimes african. Always a journey. Enjoy the ride! <3

This set was recorded for the Afrikaburn Decompression virtual event, eCompression. It was shot on a rooftop of a friends house in Cape Town, at the foot of Table Mountain. The sun was setting, the city lights were emerging, and the beats flowed effortlessly.
