Something very special here with Slow Motion’s 48th release. 

Recorded while experimenting with gear at CIMM studios (Venice Biennale’s centre for computer music which Bottin co-designed in 2019), EYE-BM is a joint release between two of our heaviest hitters: hairy Fabrizio Mammarella and baldie Bottin. 

EYE-BM is three tracks of sinister music, sweaty electro with tinges of cyberpunky EBM and New Beat. The icing on the cake is the euphoric remix from Italian synth wave pioneer Alexander Robotnick. 
The acidic and jacking flavour might as well be the sound of your mind and body losing it on the dancefloor or missing your stop on the ass-bahn. Turn the dial up to 11. Or 12.

Armonics returns to Slow Motion with a powerful, poignant remake of the 1982 Diana Est hit ‘Tenax’. The magic of the original is beautifully captured by the Bari-based producer. 
He immediately does the iconic release justice with a signature approach to strong drum programming, gripping you from each rhythmic development to the next. 
An infectious arpeggiated bassline whips throughout, maintaining the charm of the original and nodding to Armonic’s gift for artful synth melodies. 

A purveyor of synthetic dreams, Armonics combines the past and present masterfully.
Cristina Barberi’s vocals swim comfortably within the crisp warmth of the rework, elevating the 80s atmosphere to a new realm of the present. 
Amornics respectfully lifts ‘Tenax’ with an unforgettable remake designed for energetic dancefloors from then and now.

Fog hung thick and heavy in the air, covering the trees and the roofs of the houses along the street. It brought a palpable sense of mystery to the place, as though something strange and unsettling could happen at any moment. Odd occurrences had happened here before; unexplainable situations and curious disappearances that had previously been cast off as nothing by those who weren't superstitious. Many still believed this street to be under a certain spell though, and they weren't willing to stick around for something to happen...

Stuttgart-based producer Zamal's debut EP takes Freeride Millenium - the imprint run by Vienna-based DJ and producer Jorkes - down a new sonic path. Following a series of self-released tracks and two contributions to the label's Queer Base and Impact compilations, he delivers Vague, which moves the label into the realms of techno, with its tough grooves and galloping drum workouts. It comes backed by remixes from Raphael Schön and RIOTVAN owner Peter Invasion with regular collaborator Gregor Habicht, who veer the originals into classic cosmic Freeride Millenium territory.

Having featured on the Riviera Disco compilation series it’s time that Donald Dust returns to Bordello. This time the Scottish artist is back with a five track EP in the form of Nausea. Bending ideas and styles, the Edinburgh producer serves up a sample strewn, italo-infected grenade. Clean chords and percussion are sullied by hoarse vocals as arpeggiators grind and growl. Drum patterns stagger and stumble in the bleary eyed house-streaked “Sick Your Own Mix” of the original. The listener is never sure where Mr Dust is going to take them with influences and surprises coming in equal measure. “Noise in the Stairwell” is an electro stalker, bolts juttering and jangling in this work of vocoder-scented giallo funk. The styles continue to be melted into new sound forms on the flip with two versions of Jupiter Jack. The “Groove Mix” takes the staccato stabs of new beat and supercharges them with punishing percussion and a good helping of dancefloor devilment. Leading us in to the wee hours of the after, the “Jupiter Mix” leans on the darker tones and rusted up rhythms for a final body jack before the realisation that work starts in eight hours.
