🪩🐯🪩 Today we are very happy to have @franz-scala for the 16th episode of our Tiger Tapes series!

Franz Scala is the head of @slow-motion-records, an Italian dance label based in Berlin. Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has released on World Unknown, @bordelloaparigi, @bahnsteig23, @justtusk, @mechatronicamusic, @correspondant or @discodromo’s @cocktail-damore.
Franz sets are as diverse as the music he curates on Slow Motion. 
Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Proto House, Cosmic and Psychedelic Disco House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fuelled only by his music.

Today he gifts us an hour and half of what he does best, the show is a live recording from a gig he did in the legendary KitKat Club in Berlin last January, enjoy!

Tiger Tapes 016 - Franz Scala

This particular tiger has been clawing his way through the music scene by releasing some quality Tracks such as "Pleasure Garden" at Sarah Wild's Imprint Midnight Operators. Not to forget the massive Italo Disco Banger "Dolce Fragola" on Fauve Records & @crackirecords which was released last year and played by David Vunk amongst many others...

We’re very happy to greet him this month for our Tiger Tape series. 🐅

@maltitzmusic lives in Berlin. He is known for his eclectic style and brings together influences from Italo Disco, Indie Dance, House & Wave in his DJ sets, which is also reflected in his diverse art of music production. Maltitz's energetic DJ sets thrive on the dynamic atmosphere, characterized by diverse genre excursions and rapid tempo changes. 

He surprises with the mixture of humor, sex appeal and the right selection for the night and always looks for the emotional connection to the audience. He is a well-known DJ in the Berlin club scene and plays in venues such as the Funkhaus (porcelain bar), Sisyphos, //about:blank, Golden Gate, Æden, Ipse. As an experienced DJ, he has been a guest at the Wilde Möhre and the Feel Festival. He also gained a reputation outside of Berlin and played in clubs in cities such as Frankfurt, Hamburg, Kassel or Dresden. In the local PAL club in Hamburg he plays alongside with stage luminaries like Boris, FJAAK, Sedef Adasi, Cormac, Héctor Oaks or Spencer Parker, whereby his universally known closing sets can last up to six hours.

The Tiger Tapes series are back with a special newcomer, please welcome @saramiller !🐯

Irish born DJ, producer & sound engineer based in Berlin.

Through years as a product of her own parties and regular appearances at Berlin's legendary Renate, Sara honed her craft for extended sets with genre-bending selections.

Her debut track Orange Sea, released in mid-2021 on the Munich label @permvac, has gained considerable momentum since its release including support from Roman Flügel and Jennifer Cardini.

With Sara’s eyes firmly set on producing, we can expect many new releases ahead with her debut EP set to be released in May 2023.

@chewchew_cc 's early exposure to the vibrant club culture in her hometown of Hamburg laid the foundation for her deep understanding of different genres and subgenres of dance music. 

Now based in Berlin, ChewChew is known for her ability to create a dynamic and exciting atmosphere on the dancefloor. 

Her sets are carefully curated, drawing on a wide range of influences to create a unique and memorable experience for her audience. Whether she's playing warm house jams, club bangers, or melancholic balearic trance, ChewChew always brings her signature style and energy to the floor.

Hello girls & boys,

here's our new baby : "bedtime stories - sounds for a sweaty summer"... the idea behind this mix was to share some of the best tracks we've discovered in the past few months. as you can imagine, we weren't able to limit ourselves to new discoveries and ended up putting some old favorites into the stew.    
summer is always a very special moment for us as our music seems to be the product of warmth and sunshine. for those of you fortunate enough to head to the beach, we hope this will provide the perfect soundtrack for your barbecues, volley-ball games and poolside parties. for those of you who won't have the opportunity to take a vacation, let's hope this gives you a little bit of digital sunshine and puts a smile on your faces.
