Selected works between 2010-2022 “Memory On Memory” offers a modern take from the underground UK artist, spanning refined breaks, playful tech-house and modular experiments stretched across this 9-track LP.

Elpac lurches into the NHS fold with their debut EP, taking form as a selection of four mounds of spasmic drum & bass and dancehall clay. The Pressure Dome affiliated artist captures the essence of his locality – Bristol – through the multiplicity of auditory colours and shapes that define the city’s approach to syncopated, warped electronica eclectica.

The release is fundamentally pacey and pushing, moving in an oddball step along threads of influence with regular moments of transient, oblique leakages. A rich undertone of UK-style sub frequency pervades the collection; the EP is laden with flowing, swelling, pulsing bass that is paired with an unconventional mash of synthesis and percussion.

2023 has been a great year for Bradley Hutchings aka Guava. Alongside many successful dance singles and remixes, his self-released debut album ‘Out Of Nowhere’ is a gorgeous blend of indie electronica that steps away from his typical club focussed productions. 2024, however, sees Guava move back towards the dancefloor with his latest EP Afterglow, which drops on Faux Poly on March 8th. Since rooting himself in Berlin, Guava has drawn inspiration from across the different facets of the city, something that is strongly reflected in this release.

The opening track ‘Angel’ is a dark trip, born out of experiments with reverb and guitar harmonics influenced by UK Bass and Dubstep, an ethereal techno track described by the artist as “guitar music for Berghain”. Next up is ‘140 Drums’, an essential DJ club tool, a chopped stuttering break and hoover bass roll through a restrained but surprisingly heavy hitting finale to the EP.

‘F641’ accelerates with continuously pitching synth stabs and a rumbling low end. Inspired by F1, the track hits hard and never stops ramping up. Finally the title track ‘Afterglow’ brings a lightness and warmth to the release, delicately catchy and rooted with a bouncy house beat, the sound of Berlin in Guava’s productions is unmistakably clear.

"Putting together this EP has been a joy for me. All of the tracks are little bookmarks for the past year. I live in Berlin, and it has had an immersive effect on my music. From the grey and cold winters, trudging down a windy street in Warschauer Straße, to the hot summer in Neukolln, where the air is thick and warm, and dance music echoes off the city buildings.

This time we've invited Neo to bless our ears with his captivating take on progressive house. Neo is a 20-year-old musician from Amsterdam, who finds inspiration in the dusty gems of his father’s 90s vinyl collection. Influenced by the sound of that era, Neo sets out to forge a modern yet nostalgic take on progressive, techno, acid and trance. The result is a 4 track EP spanning the fields of house, techno, and trance. Binding the spectra of these styles together with trippy motives, striking stabs, and intriguing synth lines.

Parisian-by-choice Detlef Weinrich aka Tolouse Low Trax turns the page again. Always willing for a new episode, notion, impulse, idea, ideal. Searching for some light out there. Now Kiosque Versions, a compilation compiled by himself, featuring seven edits by friends and treasured artists. They renew some rare TLT tunes, as well as hits, that never took the charts by storm. There is French legend and Tigersushi boss Joakim, edging the TLT winner Rushing Into Water from 2016. A guarded stepper, dancy, trippy, with an enchantress on his shoulder, that haunts your body and soul. The 2020 TLT tune Dawn Is Temporal, taken from his album Jumping Dead Leafs, comes as an old school hip hop leaning track, re-fashioned by New York’s Beat Detectives, including Amen-Break and nod-your-head vibes. Producer Ido Plumes from Bristol took Tristeros Empire home and worked it club-wise. A nervous beating modification, Detroit machines, motorway funk, cosmic gasps - pure driller killer. Glasgow's Dip Friso stays tense too. Echoes, tribal bounce, manic loops. Another driller in dub heaven. Like Paris based digi-dub explorers Froid Dub, who bring a great wave of warm grooves, making baroque-esk dub friends with Make Friends, a TLT track from his legendary three Volume strong 2016 Antinote sampler compendium. Their fellow countryman Simo Cell nervously metamorphoses A Song and a Photo Novella, a TLT soundtrack for a film by artist Nicolàs Guagnini. His version has all that bass, vibrates on an experimental subconsciousness, and aims the dancefloor with a stirring bouquet of rhythmic ideas. The dot on the I comes from TLT himself, remixing his very own music, translating the Gamelan melancholy of Subghosts, a tune from his 2010 debut album Mask Talk, into today, refined with dubby upsetting notes, a speed lift, and a very playful TLT groove. Let's turn the page.
