NORTH BASE have been in the game for over 30 years as Silver & Prophecy or Sonic & Silver, Accidental Heroes and other Alias over time. That’s nearly 3 decades of club Nights, Festivals, releases and much more. Manchester's Drum & Bass export have been causing serious damage within the dance music circuit for quite some time now. Regularly placed on lineups alongside Chase & Status, BOU, Andy C, Hybrid Minds, Shy FX and many more the duo have certainly made a strong impact globally with in the scene.

Already having played at some of the top music festivals and clubs worldwide including Glastonbury, Amnesia Ibiza, Fabric, WOMB(Japan) Andy C’s XOYO Residency, Warehouse Project Manchester (residents), Creamfields, Ultra Europe, Metropolis, Hideout, Parklife, Rampage and so many more to mention. 

NORTH BASE continue to tear up each and every club, festival and dance floor with their unique cutting edge DJ skills & productions & sort after dubs that have already gained support from the heavy weights of the DnB world such as Andy C, Bou, Hedex, Chase & Status, Hybrid Minds, Pendulum, Sub Focus and others, regularly supporting their tracks.

Having featured on BBC Radio1 & Radio1 Dance this year in 2025 with their amazing guest mix for Charlie Tee on her drum & bass show which has got a lot of people talking in the scene. The guys have have also gone on to remixed artists such as Craig David, Big Narstie, Ms Dynamite (OBE) Example, Benga, Skream, Laidback Luke, Sander Van Doorn, Labrinyth, and many more.

These guys are evolving each year from strength to strength and are serious game players within the drum and bass scene. Already starting the year off with a brand new album entitled ‘TRAVELING’ forthcoming. Do not sleep on NORTH BASE as this year these guys have a lot of music to drop…

SOLA is a Drum & Bass trio comprised of James, Robbie and Paul. They have releases on Eatbrain, Jungle Cakes, ProgRam, Suburban Base, Formation, Korsakov Music, Play Me, Nuusic, Dance Concept, Gorilla Warfare, Dub Damage, Deep In The Jungle, Riot Dubs, Boomslang, 24 Karat, Soul Deep, Headsbass, and their own imprint Grand Theft Audio.

After many singles and EPs, their debut album Stars Align, released on Grand Theft Audio in September 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. The promo journey for the LP landed them an upload on UKF Drum & Bass as well as an interview for UKF with Dave Columbo Jenkins and a guestmix for Mollie Collins on Kiss FM.

They hit 2023 running with high profile EP and Single releases on Korsakov Music, Play Me, Boomslang & Formation, which have seen them receiving support from as far afield as Pendulum, Sub Focus & Ray Keith. In April, they won the DJ Rap remix competition against 658 other entries and in May they released the remix album Stars Realigned on GTA, including the anthemic Cliques remix of Pico De Gallo.

In August and September, they did their first tour outside of Europe with performances in Canada, USA, Vietnam & Australia and are currently planning an extended US & Canada tour for 2024, a year which so far has seen them release on legendary labels like Eatbrain, Jungle Cakes and Suburban Base, as well as netting a second UKF upload for Gulf Stream w/ K Jah on Grand Theft Audio.

Their sets are a fast-paced and unpredictable with an emphasis on crowd reaction and stacked to the brim with tracks that won't be heard anywhere else for months, sometimes years, as well as fan favourites from their back catalogue.

Born and raised in Manchester one of the most celebrated musical cities in the world, Tonn Piper has been blazing a path through the drum n bass scene for many years. He is renowned for his versatile and unique ability to adapt to many different music genres. Backing it up with his huge stage presence high-energy and relentless style captivating and elevating any audience that lies before him.

As an influential figure on the scene Tonn has many of the UK’s top Drum and Bass events, clubs and Dj’s requesting his services. He is resident at one of the biggest clubs in Europe The Warehouse Project in Manchester, where he is one of the first names on the team sheet at APE and Metropolis. Having spent 10 years with Metropolis based in both Manchester and Leeds, Tonn is one of their longest serving residents and has proved his reliability over those years.

Not an artist to be pigeonholed his diverse approach allows him to push the boundaries even further as he’s developed into an outstanding front man for several bands. The most famous of those being Manchester’s Black Grape led by Happy Mondays legendary front man Shaun Ryder & Kermit. He went on tour with Shaun Ryder performing old classics such as In the name of the father, Tamazi party, Reverend etc on the 30years of Shaun Ryder tour. Having made such an impact within the camp, Shaun included Tonn in his autobiography. This is a huge achievement for Tonn Piper let alone any Mancunian or party animal across the nation.

Joining TEKONE in 2010 Tonn added yet another string to his bow and has been on tour as their front man on several occasions. The biggest of these tours are as follows with them supporting BRING ME THE HORIZON, ARCHITECTS and ENTER SHIKARI on their UK and European tours respectively. Signed to H.E.N.C.H Tekone have an album due for release and have now officially been sponsored by energy drink giants MONSTER.

A little bit about René LaVice

From the humble beginnings of finding out about Drum & Bass music via the late night broadcasts on Toronto’s College Radio stations (88.1FM & 89.5FM) while growing up, René has travelled worlds away from where he started. Flash forward a decade or so, René’s own productions are now hailed around the world as some of the genre’s most iconic and innovative records in electronic dance music. He’s flown worldwide performing shows and cultivating the sound of Drum & Bass as a true tastemaker and leader in the genre. 

As though coming full circle, René was approached by the BBC about creating his own specialist show on Radio 1, so in 2017, following in the footsteps of legendary former hosts Fabio & Grooverider, and Friction, René is now the Drum & Bass representative on the world’s biggest platform. 
 
As a producer, René LaVice’s sounds are unmistakable. Known for combining different styles and influences with his own sensibility, his music has a thumbprint which stands out in the mix. Nowhere could this be more evident than in his first breakthrough track ‘Headlock,’ which took the scene by storm and turned heads of tastemakers worldwide onto what would soon become one of dance music’s most exciting producers. Since then, René’s made a string of hits, such as The Calling ft. Ivy Mairi, a musical hybrid unlike any other which was A-Listed on Radio 1 for weeks and hit the billboard top 40 dance chart. 

Renowned for his remix track record and ability to turn a song upside down, he has remixed an impressive roster of artists such as Diplo, DJ Fresh, Craig David & The Prodigy, making him a highly sought after remix artist.  He released 3 albums on the illustrious Ram Records which earned him the respect of young fans and veteran DJ’s alike. 

Having the support of touring Drum & Bass royalty such as Andy C, Goldie & Randall combined with attention from Radio presenters and tastemakers such as Annie Mac, Mistajam, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, and Scott Mills is like a dream to any young producer and René’s skills as a performer and a DJ have been consolidated thanks to touring all around the globe and turning even the most unlikely shows upside down. Known for crowdsurfing at his gigs, he may sound like a bit of 
an anomaly when it comes to dance music. The excitement he feels from his music is as captivating as it is infectious. Having performed shows at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Download, EDC, and world class venues like Brixton Academy, Fabric, and Alexandra Palace, René has evolved into one of the most exciting headlining acts in dance music. 

Now living in London, UK, one can only speculate where René LaVice’s journey through music will lead next.
