The purpose of this Non-Profit Corporation is to preserve and archive digital media that represents southeastern musicians who write, compose, and perform their own and traditional musical material including lyrics and melodies, and to provide access to such music to the general public for its benefit.

Copious Jones is one of the most promising talents on the Atlanta music scene today. This diverse 6-piece defies genre by drawing from an eclectic variety of inspirations such as: progressive-rock, funk, jazz, Latin, classical, African, blues, folk, jam, electronic and more. Copious Jones formed in January 2010 when inspiring singer/songwriter/guitarist, Mikhail Petersen, and music arranger/drummer, John Cowin met at the Atlanta Institute of Music. It wasn't long after, that guitar player, close friend and fellow Atlanta Institute of Music graduate, Chris “Critter” Ricker, secured his spot in the band. Forty year jazz and latin percussionist, Ahsa Ahla, promptly joined the project after hearing only a few songs and over time introduced the band to veteran jazz/latin bassist, Matt Stallard, and long-time composer/professor/pianist, Yoel ben Yehuda.

Raised on the family farm in North Carolina, she has already shaken the stages of MerleFest, Sundance Film Festival, The Pyrle Theater & GrassRoots music festivals worldwide as an Artist at Large. 
Currently, she is in studio sessions recording works with multiple acts and gearing up for touring through 2016.

I love to write, I love to sing, I love to travel and meet people -- I'm from Atlanta, Georgia--I've been a nomad for the past 17 years, playing street corners, clubs, theaters,  and fields full of music lovers--I do enjoy recording, but mostly I enjoy creating and letting go.
