With 7x platinum UK records, 5x BRIT nominations and over a decade of club and festival shows all over the world under his belt, Joel Corry is one of the most recognisable names in contemporary dance music.

He made his breakthrough with 2019’s UK Top 10 single, ‘Sorry’, which also broke the all-time 24-hour Shazam record in the UK with over 41,000 recorded tags, paving the way for collaborations with the likes of Charli XCX, Saweetie, David Guetta, Rita Ora, and Bryson Tiller, as well as a further five Top 10 records – including 2020’s anthemic UK #1 single and global smash, ‘Head & Heart’ ft. MNEK. Joel later released his Gold-certified, UK Top 5 debut album, ‘Another Friday Night’, in October 2023 to critical acclaim, with The Face saluting Joel’s ability to pump out “pristine party-starters”.

Over the last five years, Joel has also played sold-out headline tours across the UK, US, Europe and Australia, performed at the MTV EMAs, The Pride Of Britain Awards and The British Grand Prix at Silverstone and marquee festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra, as well as coveted residences at flagship venues in Las Vegas and Ibiza. He also polled at #36 in DJ Mag’s internationally renowned Top 100 poll in 2024 — up five places from 2023.

Smashing sell out tours of the UK in 2016 and closing last year with 2 nights at Liverpool&#39;s O2, they are on the road again heading towards the summer festival season with their killer harmonies, contemporary melodies and irresistible Scouse humour.

As independent artists it’s no mean feat to get noticed above a sea of songsmiths and musicians in the digital maelstrom of music releases, but their 2016 debut album,

‘Pieces of You’, profiled as a recommended indie release on the home page of iTunes, selling out within hours of going on sale in their home town of Liverpool’s HMV stores and making it’s debut at number 9 in the indie album charts, captured the ears of the critics, with solid support coming from titles such as; Q, The Telegraph, Gigwise, Clash and The Independent to name just a few. The band also performed live sessions on BBC London, Oxford &amp; Liverpool, with plays on 6 Music and Radio 2.

Born and bred in Liverpool, immersed in generations of the town’s fine musical heritage, The Hummingbirds have spent their debut years amassing a strong following of loyal fans who travel the length and breadth of the country to watch them play. As they roll out song after mesmerizing song, filled with three part vocal harmonies, perfectly timed rhythm guitars, love fueled lyrical content and a beautiful line up of straight faces masking their intrinsic Scouse wit, one can’t help but feel that you’re on the cusp of discovering one of Britain’s next great bands.

Last year’s sell out tours, taking in sold out shows at Liverpool’s 02 Academy the Arts Club and London’s Bush Hall with a stream of festival appearances that included Festival Number 6, Cornbury Music Festival, The Great Escape, Kendall Calling, Stockton Calling, Sound City, The Wychwood Festival and Halfway to 75, saw the band’s online presence steadily increase with a combined views on socials of around 60,000 plus. They have also supported Cast, Catfish &amp; The Bottlemen, Hudson Taylor, The View, The Frontiers (double headline), Pete Docherty and Young Rebel Set. They are doing live dates across the UK to support the EP release throughout the summer.

It was in fact a mutual love of Young Rebel Set that brought The Hummingbirds together. The guys, Jay Davies (lead vocals / guitar), Mic Kountis (guitar / backing vocals) and Richard Smith (drums / backing vocals) Matty Brougham (rhythm guitar) and Ryan Lewis (bass guitar) were all fans of the band and met at gigs, partying back home whist covering their songs, at the same time honing their craft both on stage and in the studio and carving out their own unique sound. They are now writing and singing in more confident and distinct voices than ever before and as their sound matures they would look and sound at home playing alongside Fleet Foxes or The Lumineers. Showing a natural progression of musical maturity and picking up inspiration from the popular culture and musical sounds of today, they are currently listening to Ryan Adams, The Eagles, Rayland Baxter, Isbells, The Milk Carton Kid and Jake Bugg.

What you get is a perfect toe dip into Americana and Nashville, whilst retaining a residue of the quintessentially British Mersey sound that runs through their veins, the tension and the moodswings of their music, both at its wildest and at its most tender, possessing a charge that is positively electric.

To many, Ben Pearce’s name is synonymous with ‘What I Might Do’, his oddly anthemic deep-house debut that dominated club floors across the world in 2012. Whilst this is an easy correlation to make (the track went platinum in Europe, reached #7 in the UK charts and was the most Shazamed tracked of 2013 in the UK), those who have followed him since the beginning can testify that he is so much more than that.

Ben is very much an underground DJ first-and-foremost, aided in no small part by his vast musical knowledge and the ability to play across a wide range of musical genres. His skills behind the decks have not gone un-noticed, as shown by high-profile sets alongside the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Tensnake and Claptone. 

On the rise, Ben was named DJ Mag's Best Breakthrough Producer in 2013 and in the following year further proved that he's deserving of the coveted award. Becoming increasingly known for his remixing abilities as well as his own original productions, remixing for Le Youth, Kwabs and Tender Games all in 2014. He collaborated with Black Orange Juice ‘Predictable’ for MTA, a soulfully smooth single that equally showcases lyrical flair and production talent, as well as release the underground club infused 'Lego' EP on his own label. 

The latter end of 2014 saw Ben launch of his new disco inspired project The Sextape Series. Which incorporates a number of free mix tapes, cheeky edits and a sequence of Sextape inspired parties. These specific nights see Ben playing extended funk-infused sets across a range of characterful, intimate venues in the UK. 

Through 2015, Ben has continued to tour around the globe, starting the year in Australia before embarking on a tour of North America in March. Starting in Miami where Ben played a special Sextape Series set, the tour also took in dates in Montreal, Texas and Mexico City. Having appeared for the brand last year, Ben was given a recurring residency for ANTS at Ushuaia and additionally appeared for We Love… and Magna Carta at Sankeys Ibiza. Not to mention the inaugural Creamfields Festival in Ibiza at Ushuaia. Away from the White Isle, Ben played at the first ever Lost Village Festival as well as Parklife, We Are FSTVL and the Ruis Festival in the Netherlands.

Revered for his classic disco sets, the legendary Giorgio Moroder also enlisted Ben to play a special set at the launch party for his new album at Shoreditch House in May - an event that also served as a fundraiser for Bridges for Music. 

Alongside a hectic touring schedule, Ben has also provided remixes for the likes of IYES and Hayden James on ‘Something About You’ in 2015, as well as standout collaborative record ’Nothing Ever Hurts' with Shadowchild and featuring vocalist Laurel - a track that reinforced Ben’s penchant for blending astute melody with peak-time bass.

Ben also successfully runs his own label imprint Purp & Soul which has celebrated its 12th release with regular artist showcases and releases. After a massive couple of years, Ben has shown that he’s not one to rest on his laurels and 2015 is sure to further Ben Pearce’s status as one of the top DJs and producers in the industry.
