It all started when this kid turned 18
Raised his hand for his country
dream in the making
He fell in love with the girl that he was dating
She had the heart and the soul that he was craving

A young man on a mission, going through the roughest training
Had his mind on his girl while she was back home waiting

His love for her was something so amazing
Put a ring on her finger and told her your breathtaking

Little did he know what life had planned
Not ready for whats in store 
as she gave him her hand
A young man, never sad
Just trying to expand
He was glad, but about to learn life firsthand

Months go by now hes stationed overseas
Jumping out of planes all around southern Germany
Living life in the Army, being the best that he could be
He goes home and he makes her his wifey

Now he's in the field, preparing to go to war
Calls his girl, said shes staying with her friend next door
He tells her to go have fun, not thinking of it anymore
Little did he know his girl was going through the back door

He was 19, still had alot to learn
Didn't read the signs, wasnt ready for the hurt
He endured lonely nights, always missing her
A month goes by, now hes back in his room when it occurred

He gets a message from her best friend saying
All the times she was with her was a lie they were making
And she told him she would hate it, whole time she getting naked
Messin round with his best friends, different parties, getting faded

He didn't know how to take the news
Started breakin everything
that was stuck up in his room, grabbed a knife, opened wounds, cut his chest, blood ensued
Alcohol was the move, mixed with spice, whats to lose

A young man devastated, couldn't take it,
Synthetics in his lungs, he started writing on a paper about the times he could've saved it
He was jaded, contemplating, on a rooftop getting faded, bout to jump but he embraced it

As time went on, his life was stuck down in a bottle
Gun always semi-auto
In case he wants to end the sorrow
But he'd never see tomorrow
All he saw or felt was hollow
Feelings getting hard to swallow
Then the darkness surely followed

He lost his will to complete the mission
Always ends up going missin
Different bars to cure addiction
Crown and Jager stuck in system
Starts to drive and makes decision
DUI his first conviction
Double A or end in prison

They tried to help him but he didn't listen
Half a bottle, lost his vision
Walked to store to get prescription
Acted up with civilians
Starts a fight and acted viscous
Cops showed up with recognition
Known for fighting and his mischief

They take him back again into the station
Started the investigation
Now here comes the accusations
Nother drunken altercation
Violence was his reputation
He had lost his aspirations
Cause his wife fell in temptations

He had a chance before to fix his problems
But his mind had lost its solace
Depressed and made alcoholic
Kicked him out cause he was lawless
Deeply hurt and patriotic
His first love was catastrophic
But he took it as symbolic

Rise Up, never trust, dont get lost in faith
Closest friends can lie to face, turn around inflict your pain
Testing of a young mans strength
He had hoped for better days
He screwed up and lost his brain
Trust issues cause hes betrayed
