It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Dirty Hole Music, a label founded in 2017 and rooted in the vibrant culture of Lisbon, Portugal. My name is Armando Ferraz, and I am the owner, graphic designer, and music producer behind our humble establishment.

As we embark on this journey together, I would like to share the origin of our label’s name—Dirty Hole Music. This name serves as a profound representation of my hometown, São Paulo. As the largest capital in Latin America, São Paulo is a sprawling metropolis characterised by its bustling population of 17 million. However, our city is not without its challenges. We face significant structural and social issues, where concrete often outweighs green spaces, and education frequently takes a back seat amidst rampant corruption.

In this context, the term "Dirty Hole" encapsulates the grit and determination that define our environment. It reflects a place steeped in complexity—where talent flourishes amidst adversity and creativity emerges from struggle. Through our music, we aim to transform and elevate this narrative, creating a sonic landscape that resonates with both the beauty and the rawness of our experiences.

Over the past seven years, Dirty Hole Music has proudly released 11 Drum / Bass releases from an eclectic array of producers spanning the globe, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Germany, and Canada. Our distinguished back catalog features remarkable artists such as Bungle, Loxy, DBR UK, SPMASSIVE, Incorporate, and Dose, each contributing to the distinctive sound that we tirelessly cultivate.

As we look towards the future, our commitment remains steadfast—to push boundaries, nurture emerging talent, and deliver innovative sounds that connect us all. NBC9 is gearing up for his second full-length album, dropping September 2025. Known for cinematic, bass-heavy drum and bass, he’s built a strong return since re-emerging in 2024. The Fragments remix project, featuring Exile, Yasuki, Xtinctor, Lunatronic, AGRO, Irontype, and JRace & Albert White, brought global attention and DJ support, reimagining NBC9’s sound through a range of styles from deep rollers to heavy neuro.

Now leading Embassy 9 Recordings, NBC9 has created a home for his vision and collaborators, pushing a progressive sound designed for headphones and dancefloors alike.

Before drum and bass, NBC9 made waves as Influenza in the early 2000s nu skool breakbeat scene. Releases on Pure Funk, Illeven Eleven, Sponge, and Epidemic earned him support across North America and the UK, including club play at the legendary Fabric London.

Two decades later, he’s back with more focus than ever.

MO7 Recordings is a China-based independent record label that has been making waves in the underground scene since its inception. Founded in 2020 by Murcor, the label has quickly established itself as a pioneering force in the eastern Drum & Bass community.

Max S is one of the pioneering Swiss Jungle Drum and Bass DJs and was hooked after the first wave of Jungle in 1994 after a fellow raver at school gave him some mixtapes of DJs Hype, Dr. S. Gachet and Jumping Jack Frost. At that time first major Swiss events like Futurescope started to host Jungle floors alongside the legendary first clubs such as Magic Factory, Grodoonia or Exit in and around Zürich, Casino de la Rotonde in the French part of Neuchâtel or Stufenbau in Berne. Further inspired by local DJs such as Fine Style, Mad B and Led Tampi, Max S started mixing vinyl in 1995 and had his first gig at Dynamo in Zürich that same year. Taking regular trips to London to experience the scene first hand and to purchase the latest vinyl whitelabels and dubplates, he became a core member of „Metropolitan Bass Scientists“, a Zürich-based collective that lasted from 1997 until the early 2000s. After diving into the UK Garage alternative for a few years as part of Lick It, Max S returned and stuck to Oldschool Jungle sets as part of nationwide Bassride agency and crew that had a firm residency at pivotal club Rohstofflager (R.I.P.) until 2010. Throughout the years, he played at some of the most important Swiss and international events such as Lethargy, Kaufleuten and Kings of the Jungle, to name but a few.
