Anyone remember DROP DEAD? This was essentially my version of the Hurricane Season Megalo, and to this day it remains one of my favorite tracks that I've made. I've updated it twice since its initial release 3 years and 5 days ago, but neither update lives up to the standards of what I want for this song. Despite me saying the previous version would be final, I got to work on one last version in June of 2021 (by coincidence, the second anniversary of the original), and after working for nearly 50 hours across 3 different concepts, I'm proud to present the definitive version of this song, just over a year later.

DROP DEAD: Ballad of the Silent One aims to capture my favorite elements from not just the original DROP DEAD, but also Drop's music, reimagining them in what I believe is my best song yet. I wanted this track to merge our two styles, and I think I managed to pull it off well. You may notice references to some of Drop's greatest hits, such as "Misfortune" and "Our Broken Constellations", but also to some of his other tracks like "A Bit of Wonder" and "Silentman's Court", as well as motifs from the the previous versions of DROP DEAD. Drop was a big inspiration for me in my early days, and as I approach the end of my tenure in this community, I wanted to make some form of a tribute to him and his work. The community certainly wouldn't be the same without him. Here's to you, Brandon!

One element of Drop Dead that stands out on my page is that it's one of the few songs I've done thumbnail art for in every version. I don't do this often, as the only way I can draw digitally is with a mouse in my non-dominant hand. Nevertheless, I created a simple piece for this thumbnail, and I think it turned out nicely. You may also notice the reference to Drop's former Adult Swim-style branding in the title, which I think suits the thumbnail well.

Hullo! ( ･ω･)/ I came across this cute crossover art on Tumblr a couple days ago & couldn't resist writing a medley of Electrostatic, Malevolence & After Dark (also included Dust's other melody in my first World Revolving remix) in the style of DDLC's upbeat music (Unfortunately I haven't written anything original for Killer yet, so I just chose the other three original melodies atm) ヾ(｡･ω･｡)﻿  It was a quick side project while I work on my other main projects, and it was fun to write something simple & lighthearted with these melodies!
