At the Brooklyn Mirage season finale @andhim dug a groove so deep in the King’s Hall the people couldn’t stop dancing. For two hours, the super DJ duo took the crowd on a pop-synth odyssey with jumping drum beats that summoned hands waving in praise and feet stomping with power and purpose, while occasional ominous vocal samples reminded the room of the house journey we were on together.

Meet Simon Haehnel and Tobi Müller — two Cologne, Germany-born boys whose obsessions with hip-hop beats and DJ greats later helped them find each other to form the quirky electronic collective we now know and love. Hello everyone……yes, these days are very uncertain,  very unknown. A virus which is spreading all over the world and causing so much damage and fear. A modern war in 2020……who could have expected this, exactly…..not many. That reminds me of life in general. This virus shows us again that planning our lives is almost impossible. We don’t have control of everything so therefore can’t predict any outcome of our plans. All we can do is love and live with our full intention and live our lives from our heart and hopefully being very passionate about our mission. We all have our missions in life, one has a bigger impact to the world than others but we all have our roles which are all very important. We all can make changes. We need to be present today because we don’t have a clue what will happen in the next few days, weeks, months. Not to ourselves and not to our loved ones or any other people on this planet. So this is also a time for new opportunities for many. Don’t we want to do what we love, just follow your heart, intuition, listen to what’s inside. Isn’t that what really matters? Let’s be grateful for what we have and for all the people who are fighting for other peoples lives, not only these days but year round. They are our heroes!  We can be our own heroes by fully listening to our core, then we can be proud of who we are. Be intentional and honest to yourself and follow that. And most of all be kind, be loving, be helpful to people who need it most. Do you have an older neighbour or friend or family member who is too afraid to go outside to do grocery shopping? Please help them, buy their groceries or cook them a meal, show them some love and kindness and don’t forget to smile. I know, it’s not always easy but it can make a difference to yourself and the ones around you. Give yourself and others some real love. Thank you.

1. I hope you agree to answer a few random and fun questions to share with our listeners? 

Yes I’ am.

2. To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

Haha, funny question, this time I listen « Steve monite - Only You » !  Some other time, I listen peacefull liquid drum & bass like this wonderfull track «  T.E.E.D - Garden (Calibre Remix) » 

3. Now should you ever, but let’s hope not, be stuck on an island, which music album would you bring with you and why? 

I will bring L.A Women form The Doors, because first : I love it. And because it gonna make me dance, dream, and bring me into a state of trance.

4. Moving on to serious issues, what is your favourite cocktail to drink during a sunset? 

At time : Whisky sour. 

5. Once the global pandemic is over, which festival would be the one you would go to first and why? (it could be a club, if you got no festival in mind) 

A festival off course, prefer to be outside. I will choose (with my big group of friends) FUSION festival or Trance Festival like BOOM or OZORA even if I tought I was done with this kind of big machine, but after fiew years, I think I need it again !

6. Which artist/band do you secretly love but you are embarrassed to admit? (i.e. you have been to their concert, you know the lyrics.) 

Haha, probably a old tube from 90’s which remind me childhood love story, like … wait for it … «  Moos - Au nom de la rose « 

7. If you could open a show for any artist, who would it be and why? 

There is so many, but probably Zuma Dionys because it’s for me the most influent downtempo artiste this last few years…

8. Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose? 

First I ask to many artistes friends to send my fresh unreleased tracks, so I collect exlusives bomb from Monvol, Guy Maayan, T puse, The oddness (but the track from The Oddness, nice as usual, was not in the same style, so I didn’t used it in this mix.)  Then, I download all the futures EP from my labels like SHANGO, WAYU, DOWN, SOL SELECTAS, BAIKAL NOMADS (…) in order to checked if I can included some tracks  in my new mix. And off course I add 3 tracks of my own productions… With all of this, I tried to tell a story !
