I normally spend hours thinking about how to make music sound interesting and exciting enough for you guys to want to check out amongst the piles of shit which, let's be real, we all get sent each week , making wading through promos more like pulling teeth than picking up girls.
And as I started to do this, I came across this ep, described in our man emoh's words. And even tho I've heard and loved the ep for ages, this made me love it all again.

EMOH SPIEL ON FIRST ORIGINALS
After three years intense training with master Stretos (known to many as 'Flume'), my perfectionist demeanour is finally satisfied, giving me the green light to put out my first original productions.

"I want you to write a different genre every week to develop your palate & abilities" were my instructions.

Finding the time to meet this goal? Near impossible, but attempting to do so has been one the most beneficial steps taken in my musical career.

"Three years ago, Harley & myself met in his bed room studio for the very first time. This track was actually an idea from that very session.

Today we find ourselves back at home, together, after many months on the road from our various projects. 
Our core focus to finalise our forthcoming Singles, it feels symbolic that three years on we find ourselves coming full circle to finish this same song we started that very first day.

We reflect on how much has changed & how much is still the same. From my 9-5 desk job to now writing music & DJing around the globe. From his bed room ambitions to being the forefront of dance music subculture. We're still two young dudes, that love the ocean, hanging with our friends in the city we've grown up in & hunting for things that inspire us.

This song is for all you lovely people that have made our dream a reality.

Forever The Sickest Kids have unveiled the cover art and track list for their new album J.A.C.K, available now.

With album title J.A.C.K representing each band member's first initials (Jonathan Cook, Austin Bello, Caleb Turman and Kyle Burns), the album title additionally reflects the band's ability to pull together as a unit, and turn challenges into positive experiences to fuel their music. 

"We wanted to make a more rock record than ever before, but still have those pop elements that make us Forever The Sickest Kids," notes singer Jonathan Cook. "We sat down and mapped out a plan for the album, which we'd never done before. We had to figure out how we were going write these songs as the four of us. It's interesting how tight us four are now. Not just musically but also emotionally and spiritually. We're one unit. Four strong songwriters still remain in the band and I think that shows in the music."

FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS - Comprised of Jonathan Cook (Vocals), Kyle Burns (Drums), Austin Bello (Bass/Vocals), and Caleb Turman (Guitar/Vocals), the Dallas, TX pop rock quartet have been garnering fans globally since 2007, and have come a long way since they released their boisterous debut Underdog Alma Mater (Universal Motown, 2008), which was succeeded by sophomore self-titles album, Forever The Sickest Kids (Universal Motown, 2011). Signing to Fearless Records in 2012, the band decamped to Los Angeles and spent three months with producer Mike Green (Paramore, All TIme Low, New Found Glory), working together as a cohesive unit to write the tracks that would become J.A.C.K. The power-pop ensemble have toured alongside such acts as Third Eye Blind, Simple Plan, All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Breathe Carolina, and more. Formed in 1994 by Bob Becker, Fearless Records initially became known for launching the careers of respected punk rock acts such as Plain White T's, At The Drive-In, Bigwig, The Aquabats, and Sugarcult.
