Fear Without Reason is a band name that had to be grown into. Anxiety has affected band members, family and friends, it touches everything they do. The result is a sound that puts energy and feel first, taking inspiration from bands such as Paramore, Alter Bridge, Funeral For a Friend, Senses Fail, Incubus, Breaking Benjamin, Blink 182, Mallory Knox and many more. ‘FWR’ hail from the Midlands, UK and bring with them their own brand of alternative rock that captures hearts of all ages.

Second Cities is a 5 piece Melodic Hardcore band, founded in Birmingham UK at the end of 2016 by founding members Jamie and Tony. From there 2017 debut, Second Cities headlined Multiple venues around the West Midlands Metal and Hardcore scene. 2018 saw Second Cities Festival debut at Mental Fest - a Charity event held by Human Canvas Tattoo with the aim to raise £1000 for PAPYRUS - prevention of young and teenage suicide. This goal was blown out of the water raising over £1200 to help fund helpline hours to ensure that everyone under the age of 18 has somewhere to go to talk about dangerous struggles such as mental health.

At the end of 2018, Second Cities departed ways with there original drummer, meaning Joshua Zaidi-Crosse now sat in the best seat of the house.  
Second Cities went under a 5 gig-break in which a new set of material - more familiar with the direction the band wanted to go in - would lead to reviews such as Sue Wardle from Music224.com stating that our first show back was a ‘Fantastic set from the band who proved that the future of metal in the West Midlands is looking very bright indeed’. Progressing through 2019, Second Cities would continue to stick to performing at key events such as Nebula State: Take Us To Your Leader EP launch, Reach the finals of Metallum Wolverhampton, Mental Fest 2019 which raised over £2500 for PAPYRUS and supporting Chaotic Resemblance on there UK tour for the final gig of the year.

Second Cities Released their Debut Single Broken Lung available on all streaming platforms 31/08/19.

In August 2019, Zach Edge had to step down from his position as bassist due to family commitments, which is where Elle first made her appearance as bassist at Mental Fest 2019 alongside Zach’s departure, all in the space of a 30 minute set.

In early October 2019, Second Cities would depart with their old rhythm guitarist, leading to Elle taking up the role of guitar and Damon being added to the line up. This is a unique moment as Elle, Damon and Jamie created there first band ever together. 

With the line up stronger than ever, Second Cities are set to take on 2020 with more shows across the UK with more updates coming soon.
