I've always been sort of envious of my peers. Especially those who can just release tracks every 2 weeks or so. Those who have a million WIPs and still release complete tracks on a very regular basis. Those who can work on their crafts tirelessly and with little to no effort.

It's never quite been that way for me.

I don't know when it started. Maybe it kicked off 5 years ago or so when I was at my worst, maybe it's just always been part of how I am, But I've always had this... barrier I need to press through to be productive. No matter if it's something I love or not, it could take anything from a couple minutes to entire weeks before I even get to start. I've always thought it was just laziness and being laid-back but when it leads to entire void days, projects being canceled and all... yea it's a little more than that.

I've tried a lot of things to push through this chronic unwillingness, but ultimately, I've had to accept that it's part of who I am. And even as I've gotten worse and better over time, I still win some days. This very song is a testament to the fact that despite how willingless I can be, I still love making songs more than anything. I can't stop making music, even if it's hard to get out of bed some days.

I hope this isn't too mopey. I strongly advocate that we're all honest with ourselves and eachother with these things. Struggling silently won't make things better, and dealing with these things doesn't make you weak. It makes you strong, And if this depressed fucko can push through and still do what she loves, then hey
