With the chaotic sounds of former CMI artist Foundation Hope, the mysterious enlightenment of Alphaxone, the distortion drone heavy Coph`antae Tryr to the fresh and inviting bass rumbles of Council of Nine, this is one dark journey of soundscapes delving deep into humanities history.

The radio transmissions led you here, a city of memories past and passed. 

The streets lie silent as you watch from above the high rise. A twirling mountain casts a deafening shadow over this place. Here between the world of life and death you are but a tiny spec of dust on the shoulder of giants, a world built by the dreamers that came before you. The sleepers drift here, trapped in glitching time loops that crackle when reset. 

Ghosts on Broken Pavement is an album that takes us back to the safe embrace of childhood dreams. For lovers of deep subs, airy field recordings and harmonic drones this album is as atmospheric as it is beautiful.

Theo and I have worked on countless music projects over the past 40 years. I have learned a lot from his stubborn and headstrong views and methods of recording and mixing music. His influence on my soundscapes is immense. In 2014 we both enjoyed working on “Where Do We Go From Here?” (2014 - Etched Traumas - ET77) which became also part of the soundtrack of Australian short movie “Grid Face”. Pieces for acoustic guitar and loop station.

In 2017 I worked on a sequel, the guitar suite "Licht". 
“Epitaph (for TC)” is originally a demo version of one of the pieces but unused in the “Licht” version as it appeared on CD (2018 “LIght / Well” - Thirsty Leaves Music - TLM019). Due to Theo’s health problems it was not possible to collaborate on this project but he appreciated the sober minimal guitar pieces for what they were.

I will remember Theo with great respect for the rest of my life.
