In the 12th issue of Koche Podcast we invite steloo @steloo-minimal. With a passion for electronic music since his teenage years, steloo‘s landing behind the decks at some point was inevitable and his journey started on a grey and rainy Sunday morning at Kater Blau, Berlin, in November 2018. He and his buddy Bjoern had a serious brainstorming session and decided to start mixing and play a surprise act at a friend’s birthday party. This idea was one of the best ones they ever had. With support from their best Katja Komorebi, they would fulfil this task with much enthusiasm and excitement. Their friends had no idea what they were up to and the surprise was a success. That moment was the ignition of a lifetime project dedicated to house and techno music which sees the two perform as Federkern soundcloud.com/federkern.

Shortly after this experience, steloo also focused on his solo project, spending every free minute digging, listening, mixing and searching for his personal vibe. His preferable genres at this moment would be minimal, techno and deep tech, but everything is welcomed as long as the groove is right.

Mandarin is the co-founder of Fantastic Friends Recordings.Born in 1975, he starts djing in 1995 in France. It’s in Geneva-Switzerland that his career has taken another turn. 

His jobs as owner of a vinyls shop during the 200’s, event organizer and artistic director of some night-club’s mades him know as nobody how to drive a party. 

Doing radio shows and djing all over Europe for more than 20 years (A Redbull Tour in Czech Republic still stay is best souvenir), he shared decks with some of famous Dj’s of the past and actual scene as Gene Farris, Onionz, Lil’Louis, Harry Romero, Djul’z, Craig Alexander, Dave Angel, Steeve Bicknell, Terry Francis and many more...

His sets explore all the trends of undergound electronic music with the sole aim of making people dance, dream and travel. 

His tracks are always mixed with great precision and he offers a selection as surprising as it is coherent. Ghetto house, dubor deephouse, melodic and progressive deep-tech, minimal house and techno are all the component of his music styles.

Since April 2021, Mandarin is the programmer of the Fantastic Friends Radio Show’s on BloopLondon Radio, Manilla Community Radio,GDS FM Zurich& Maxximixx Underground with the participation of deejays as well known asMihai Popoviciu, Yapacc, Lauhaus, Dubphone, Loquace, Robert Roman, Dhaze, Kike Mayor, F.I.D. or Ozgur Uzar.
